It was very nice but the politicians here are lazy idiots who do nothing.
My favourite was the portraits of prime minister's, seeing how the official portraits changed over time, the crazy details of Kevin Rudd's portrait, the huge smile of Julia Gillard's, the energetic pose of Tony Abbott, so representative of the people they were when in office.
If corruption had an address, here it is!!!!
We are one of the most heavily taxed & wealthiest countries in the world, and YET we have a housing crisis, we have a health system crisis, and we have an education system crisis, (just to name a few)!!!
You are public servants!!! You should be serving the public, not yourselves, and your greedy buddies!!!!!
Parliament House in Canberra is a must-visit for anyone interested in Australian politics and history. The architecture is impressive, with modern design elements blending seamlessly into the landscape. The free guided tours offer fascinating insights into the workings of the government. The views from the rooftop are spectacular, giving a panoramic perspective of the city. A great educational experience for all ages!
Do not try calling here for tour information! I tried three times and either they hung up as soon as they answered, or just ignored me, however they did eventually reply to an email. I got the information I needed. Free tours are scheduled at periodic times for 25 minutes each. There are other more extensive tours, three different types of them, that cost $28 each. We went on the free tours and it was very interesting. The highlight was that you can take an elevator up to the grassy roof, where we ate our picnic lunch. Priceless!
Amazing place to visit, staff were informative and helpful and it was great to read some of the history around Australia's democratic processes.
it's ok
