Teachers and staff are so nice! It's sad how there are some bad things about the school like how the school song lies and says it's a "5 star school" otherwise there ups and downs everywhere!
good
We pulled out kids out of this school after been told 4 consecutive years in a row our son is below average and/or is a Covid kid. A year of external tutoring got him right back on track ready for year 5 work. This school has extremely poor communication and low level of support for students who require more assistance. Failed attempts to communicate with my son’s progress throughout the year as Ms Mcur would run away. Ms Dawkins the former principal doesn’t believe in books or learning but would rather instill Indigenous names of Australia for children to learn as part of their education. During a PDHD class a certain teacher gave unprofessional and unqualified information to year 4 students on transgender topics without parental consent and the education system putting in place before 2024 state curriculum. The level of disrespect towards me and my family, they should be exposed for poor and lazy teachings and behaviour towards their clients.
After seeing the school promoted in a newspaper as authoritarian you may be tempted to send your (bad) child here. Pause for a moment and think of the life long consequences. You wouldn't take children to an authoritarian regime and leave them there. Okay maybe some people would, sadly.
This school is fantastic the new principal is nice. I'm in year 5 and honestly getting a great education thanks to the kindest teachers and staff. There are great computers for research and stuff like that and yea five dock public school is a five-star school.
Ngl the school was SO BAD. Some teacher's were alright but other than that they were bullies. The priciple miss dawkins is so unorganised and had no events on throughout the year compared to principle before her so its kinda L tbh
i used to go here (class of 2016) it was an ok school but some part of the school was dirty and unclean. the boy bathroom was a horibble place to go, i would have to hold going to the bathroom till hom etime sometimes i made it by a few time a peeed myself outside te gate
Best school ever im in year 6 there and a prefect a lovely school i've ever been too and will never forget the memories i've made with my friends, teachers and my buddies. Five Dock public is a five star school.
Friendly staff, well organised teaching good attitudes and responsible self learning. Happy place.
