Parent Reviews
On the 18th July my daughter who is 9 months old was abused at the Kids Prints (now the love heart) daycare in St-Ives chase.
My daughter was placed in a cot and the cot shook to the point her head was shacking violently and hitting the sides of the cot for over 10 mins, she was then held and shook again by the educator Miss Sue before being placed in the cot and Forcibly held her head down.
The cot with our child in was then placed into a toy storage cupboard where a number of toys/boxes could have fallen on her as she was crying so much they did not want to wake the other baby.
A police investigation was conducted however we have been just informed that because intent/recklessness can’t be proven and our child did not suffer any injuries it’s not classed as a crime rather a workplace incident.
We got informed 6 days after this incident so anything could have happened in that time frame to our baby.
we are in complete shock that nothing more can be done other than the educators losing their jobs and potentially their working with children's check.
We have seen the CCTV and can see that Miss Sue was overwhelmed but during this time her Manager Yinna comes into the room witnesses everything and does nothing to support her team member or our daughter. When also questioned by a team member if she felt it appropriate to leave a baby sleeping in a storage room as that's all she witnessed the manager Yinna felt it wasn't a concern.
Miss Sue was terminated by the new owner and Yinna got the chance to resign which she did and where thankfully nothing serious happened to our daughter, the next child might not be so lucky.
We don't blame the love heart daycare at all as without Nikki this abuse which we are lead to believe was common practice wouldn't have been uncovered and those team members would be still be working there, we do feel that she didn't inform us within a reasonable time frame and this could of been catastrophic had something happened to our daughter. My only advice is trust your gut as we removed our daughter as on the 19th as we had a feeling that something wasn't right and are grateful we did. These "educators" need to be held accountable for their actions and we are hoping they will be with the ongoing DOE investigation.
Kidz Prints is a home away from home for our kids. The staff are so beautifully nurturing and encouraging. They follow the children’s lead and always offer a variety of authentic experiences. We’re so grateful to have found such a lovely kindy!
Our 2year old and 3.5year old started here beginning of 2024, and already have settled in wonderfully. The center has long time employed staff, a diverse mixture of ever changing activities for the children to engage in, and all in all a warmth that my husband and I really enjoy. Couldn’t recommend a better place.
So happy my daughter landed here! It was her fist child-care experience and we have loved everything about it. The teachers have made an effort to get to know her and us parents, things always feel calm and happy, with a wide variety of creative activities. Highly recommend Kidz Prints!!
This place looks yum!!!!!!
