there were no wooden chairs, "axel "astralk" :]"
anyways i was in the school in yr 6 2022 it was pretty good
(i was in the class of 2022)teachers had favorites, canteen food was not for human consumption, i didn't gain any knowledge, friendships were toxic and the toilets were just broken and trashed(the ceiling was made out of toilet paper).
Used to be a great school, but some questionable administration during the recent years. It is still ok just because of the community and a number of dedicated teachers.
I went to Summer Hill Public School back from Kindy 2001- year 6 2007. The teachers back then were really friendly, caring, I think the principle back then was Mrs Sinclair. My drama teacher and music teacher back then were amazing ! I still remember this school like I was in primary school last year :) I know majority of the students back in my grade year are all settled well into their careers or have now settled down and got married with a family. I would honestly highly recommend summer hill public school. The school teachers went above and beyond for me back then (mind you my older brother also went to this school from kindy to year6). I honestly cannot say anything bad from the years I was in there. Won't ever forget the canteen also! The good old triangle pastries and 2min noodle for lunch order. Thank you summer hill for being my primary school. Definitely played a role with shaping me up to who I am today. Who knows! I might send my future kids to Summer Hill :)
[writing this because i dont like high school, disclaimer that this is just a dump of how i miss primary school]
if anyone i know sees this hello and this is your sign to write about how good shps is 👍
Went to this school from kindy to year 7 and made many memories. Not until terms into highschool did it hit me how much i miss the school as a whole... the airconditioners... the bright colourful classrooms... all the teachers... and probably my classmates... for me at least primary school was fun and not until i finally left the school i realised how many good times i had there.
Also im glad that over the years the school got more modern installations like funiture and the multicourt...
TO OTHER SUMMERHILLIANS MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR PRIMARY SCHOOL TIME
to the people who do bit agree with my opinion this is just my perspective... thats great
note: the school is not crusty and filled with cobwebs and termite ridden chairs and the bathrooms arent THAT bad you cant expect that much from a public school and for the students i dont really know(like another review...)
i wish i could give a shoutout to all my teachers ‼️‼️
Loved it, loved my time here. Great school, fantastic staff who still ask my parents how my brother and I are (even though we were far from star students).
Plus the fact it celebrates Wear It Purple day warms my heart so much, and definitely had a positive impact on my own identity's journey.
And – now this is just chance of course, but it's still worth noting – I met my best and closest friends at this school. We grew together, hurt each other and healed each other. Survived hell and high-water together, and we're still going strong.
Definitely recommend. :)
