I have been a student at MFHS since year 7, and I have been pleasantly surprised with all the good that this school has done for me. Despite what people will say about this school in terms of its academic reputation, my grades have improved significantly since I have started attending here. This has actually given me more confidence in pursuing certain career paths that I could never have dreamt of beforehand. The teachers here have all supported me through my time here and have pushed me to always try my hardest at all I do. They have also been very helpful in taking the time to answer questions I may have around a certain topic, test or assignment. I have also made some really amazing friendships while I have been here that I am thankful will last a life time. This school has also provided many unique opportunities for us all, from meeting guest speakers to excursions to places such as Sydney Uni. I understand that this is just based off of my personal experience, and that it will differ from others. I am also aware of concerns that have arisen out of this school (which I have seen first hand) that people often bring up. However, if anything, I just want to shed on some of the great things that can come out of not just this school, but most public schools in general. I hope this helps anyone who is looking into schools in this area. :) Just give this school a chance, and I am sure that you will be surprised like I have been.

I didn't went to this school because there is NO Hearing Unit class! I would recommend that this school should START having a Hearing Unit class if I come to this school to check on it!

I avoided buying a house in this catchment due to this school. The school ranking of Model Farms is horrific. All of the other schools in the Hills rate much higher. Even talking to some of the teachers here, they seem more concerned about uniform rather than education. If you’re in this catchment, either move or send your kids to a private school.

Low morale staff simply there to collect a paycheck.
Dirty conditions and unmaintained field, sporting equipment, facilities etc.
Teachers all seem complacent with bullying and would rather students fixed issues themselves. Not a great ideal for a school to have.
Can see why this school ranks so low compared to others.
