I have 2 of my kids there. They both love it. Our neighbor recommened us this centre. They also have sent their kid there. The educators are very well diverse in different backgrounds. I feel very lucky my kids can still keep speaking in Thai language to one of their educators who is Thai, Miss Monie. Lisa, the director is very welcoming and accomodating. As a first time putting my children in childcare, it could be very nervouse. But Edelweiss helped me get through this easily. We recieved heaps of their photos and reports on their activities and so on. Never regret chosing this centre for my growing 2 toddlers.

My boys both go to kindy here and love it. It’s a great little centre which is small enough so the kids get personal attention. They come home most days with arts and crafts they have done. They have a great time and my oldest is ready for school after 3 years there.

We have loved, loved, loved this centre. My son spent 2 years here and flourished, he was truly happy here, he ran in every morning and was happy and tired at the end of every day. The educators are family orientated, caring, compassionate and a stable crew - not a high turnover of staff like some other centres. I always felt my son was supported well with his emotional development and his special interests. The director is on site, hands on and available to talk to when needed, she cares, listens and knows each child individually. We only left Edelweiss because we moved interstate and now I find our daycare options limited to franchises I truly am grateful my son spent 2 happy years at Edelweiss - a happy little independent that's been a local gem for 40+ years! There are not many stand alone childcare centres left like this one, in an industry that's become dominated by franchises and business models Edelweiss is a centre that should be cherished!! Xxxxxx

Our experience with the centre wasn't great. The educators weren't too helpful, they didn't talk to me about what had happened for the kids that day or any information about anything really. It was the first centre I took my two kids to and was so nervous and worried. I worked fulltime and had them in care all day and barely got photos of them. The centre my kids go to now is another local community centre and they're just so opposite to this place. All my current educators actually talk to me every afternoon when I pick my kids up, photos constantly and they let me know personally about each of my kids and do plans for every month on what specifically that individual child needs. I didn't really know or understand the process of it all and this centre didn't help much in providing information. Thats not to say all the educators at this centre weren't helpful, there was one teacher who was really nice but I barely got to see or talk to her. When I came to view the centre initially, one of the mothers said to me 'you couldn't get into Oatley? It's better'. I wanted a local centre closest to where we were living so I chose this place. There were a few incidents but one incident that caused alot of anxiety for me was my daughter falling and getting her fingers trampled on by another child and she was crying and the teacher told her to stop crying and did a hard hit on her back, just as my mother was coming to pick my kids up, which my mother went and quickly grabbed my daughter to comfort her.The educator was more concerned about my daughter not crying then actually checking her fingers which when I assessed at home she had bruised fingers. I've since left and found a treasure of a place that really care about my kids and make me feel like I'm all part of it. This is my experience here and I hope others have better experiences with Edelweiss.
Great family run centre with fabulous and caring staff. My son loves going to Edelweiss.
