Parent Reviews
Choosing Montessori Preschool as been one of the best decisions we made as a family for my kids. Alison and Dimitri create an incredible learning environment that truly embodies the Montessori philosophy. They consistently listen to our concerns and provide thoughtful guidance that has given us a unique perspective on parenthood.
Their dedication to fostering a love of learning in each child is evident in everything they do. The nurturing atmosphere encourages independence and curiosity, allowing children to explore at their own pace. My childs has thrived in this setting, and I’ve seen significant growth in their confidence, social skills and more..
I am grateful for the support and insights Alison and Dimitri have shared with us throughout this journey. I wholeheartedly recommend Montessori Preschoolto any parent seeking a nurturing and enriching experience for their little ones.
I preface this review with the failings are not in any way a reflection of the guides who genuinely provide spaces for the children in their care.
It's just the owners way or the highway. You're opinion is irrelevant and you will find yourself doubting yourself. My son developed anxiety around some of the school regulations (for example he didn't understand no processed and sugary treats, regardless of home education and support) he was questioning everything I put in his lunch box scared he would have it removed after an incident with a homemade choc chip cookie. As parents we were berated at drop off and pick up by the manager at times for 'their bag being too small' and that might be the only thing we learnt about what happened with our child in the centre that week.
I was sad that the preschool didn't work out as when we first joined it seemed amazing (except for the very difficult to manage joining schedule). They provided us with so much confidence which over time disintegrated.
I think if there was more choice on the coast for preschools they would be shocked to find much disent in the ranks. Which they will tell you is a failing of all those parents not of their school.
A school where each childs individual needs are met and their interests explored. It has been amazing to see our children learn and thrive in the environment with the guides all showing great care for my boys.
This school seems idyllic on first glances just don't dig any deeper than surface level. The owner will belittle your management of your own children while gaslighting you into believing you are the issue. The centre 'manager' is the least montessori natured woman I've ever met with poor communication skills often treating parents dismissively. They lack meaningful communication around the children's day to day activities or their current level of ability
They insist of using convoluted and time consuming communication methods such as Telegram to communicate to their 'community' with 100s of threads making it a full time job to find basic information about things happening at the school instead of investing in a proper preschool communication app or using the one they have in any sort of meaningful way. On multiple occasions photos of my child have been mislabelled as another child.
Turns out most complaints about the centre manager have fallen on deaf ears as the manager and director have been having an affair.
I have had multiple children in the school who have at various times made me uneasy about their experiences, similarly ex staff members will all warn you to stay away.
Wasted opportunity to build a true community and not what has essentially become a mini cult. I'd definitely look elsewhere.
