Goodstart Early Learning Bateau Bay

I have worked in the early learning industry since 1995 and I have a Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching degree. I joined Goodstart through Mission Australia Early Learning in 2019 and started in my role as Centre Manager in 2017.

Management Philosophy

I have a collaborative approach to managing Goodstart Bateau Bay, with all stakeholders'

views valued and respected. Building strong relationships with families, within our team and across our community are important factors in developing a strong cohesive service. I am passionate about advocating for children, their learning and development and continuously striving to improve our service practices to ensure all children and families receive high quality care.

Education Philosophy

I believe children come first, that every child is individual and should be viewed as a capable and confident contributor to their own learning. Our role as educators is to support children to develop skills for life through our environments, provision of materials and teaching strategies. I value the uniqueness of each child’s own story and the context of their family traditions, culture and values. I strive to ensure a strong relationship is built between myself and families as this partnership underpins positive outcomes for all children.
