Fables On The Mountain

At Fables on the Mountain Early Learning Centre, we provide high-quality early childhood education and care in a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported and inspired to learn. We are a community-focused service that values strong relationships with children, families and the local community.

Our dedicated educators create engaging, play-based learning experiences that support each child’s development, curiosity and confidence. Our program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and focuses on supporting children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development while encouraging a lifelong love of learning.

Our Rooms

Our learning environments are thoughtfully designed to support children at different stages of development. Children are grouped into age-appropriate rooms where educators provide nurturing care and engaging experiences tailored to their interests and developmental needs.

0–2 Years – Nursery Room
Our nursery provides a calm, nurturing environment where our youngest children feel safe and secure. Educators focus on building strong relationships with each child while supporting early development through sensory exploration, language development, movement and responsive care routines.

2–3 Years – Toddler Room
In our toddler room, children are supported as they build confidence, independence and social skills. Educators provide engaging play-based experiences that encourage curiosity, communication, creativity and early problem-solving.

3–5 Years – Preschool Room
Our preschool room focuses on developing the skills children need as they prepare for school. Through play-based learning, children explore their interests, build friendships, develop independence and strengthen early literacy and numeracy skills.

School Readiness

We offer a school readiness program throughout the year to support children in building the confidence and skills needed for a successful transition to primary school. Our centre has a close relationship with Mount Kembla Public School, helping children become familiar with their future school environment and supporting a smooth transition to school.

What We Provide

To make daily routines easier for families, we provide a range of essentials for children while they are in our care, including:

• Nutritious meals and snacks prepared daily

• Nappies and wipes

• Sunscreen

• Bedding for rest time

• Engaging educational programs and resources
