Love this centre !! Such a great team
I would like to share my bad experience with Young Academics Narellan branch,
My daughter was attending 2 days/wk, and just after 1 week she started to get scared of heights and it seems like she slipped off while changing nappy on the mat as she stayed after that incident for about 1 month scared of heights till she returned to normal,
And in the last 2 weeks before termination, on the first Friday one earring was lost, and the Friday after( her last day), both earrings were taken, and she has a scratch on her ear!!!
I emailed them to know how that happened but they kept replying that they are searching for them, i know they were stolen but i want to know how? And please check and do more investigations for the casual teachers before accepting them, as these people are dealing with our kids but they are not trusted, and I don’t feel safe for kids in this place.
My son was attending Young Academics Narellan after I had removed him from their smeaton grange centre. I highly recommend for you to avoid using Young Academics completely!!. Don’t be fooled by the smiles, online posts or their policies and procedures. .
Over time I have come to realise the children are not being supervised accordingly resulting in my son experiencing multiple injuries from other children attacking him. With this, Incidents reports have been deleted and altered on many occasions, OWNA posts have been deleted without explanation and there are no answers as to why this is all happening. Educators have advised me that they just can’t supervise all children as there are too many children in the centre. This is alarming when they have children with challenging behaviour!
After raising concerns with higher management, dropping my son off became very difficult with staff ignoring me, not greeting us and my son screaming, begging me to take him to a new school.
As a single mother, working full time, I found this very traumatising.
There are a lot more incidents I could mention to show how the children are being neglected and un-supervised. But to make it simple, my son has left young academics with a permanent scar to his face and many hospital visits for seizures due to head injuries.
To all parents, PROTECT YOUR CHILDREN!
I was keen to enrol my child here. So we booked a tour and were given a date sometime last year. On the day I attended, the lady somewhat surprised that I have a booked tour. She even asked me if I was sure I booked it in. How offensive was that!. She seemed busy and annoyed and I showed her my phone with the scheduled tour. So she only showed me the nursery, the tour was less than 5 minutes. I honestly felt that I had wasted my time.
At other centres they showed me around all the classes just to get a feel of everything.
So I was quite disappointed with the tour. There was no way I could enrol my child there as I did not feel welcome.
Both my son and my daughter love going to the childcare there. The educators really lovely girls, they care and love children, the educational program is practical, kids love sharing what they‘ve learnt from school. I am feeling peace of mind when I am working. Highly recommended this one.
Our daughter has been attending for several months now, right from 5 months old. In that time, we've seen the positive impact YA has on her, as she continues to hit her milestones. The educators are all great, really supportive and understanding. Our time with YA has been nothing short of amazing! Would highly recommend.
We are really happy with our experience and the amazing level of service from all of the staff. We have 2 boys attending and we get regular updates on their developmental progress + we can see their positive progression since joining the centre
My almost 3yo has been attending the centre since 10/2023 & my 6mo has been attending since the beginning of February 2024.
The centre has embraced my children like family - it’s wonderful to see the loving relationships that the teachers and my children have formed.
In the 6m he has been attending this centre my 3yo has grown and developed significantly (was previously at another centre) in terms of language, communication , emotional skills etc. Each week he suprises me with something new that he has learnt. A special thanks to Miss Shadae, Miss Beth and Miss Nicola who are responsible for his care.
My little bub is continuing to settle into daycare & the love he has been shown makes me so comfortable taking him here each day. I greatly appreciate all the teachers who care for my baby, particularly Miss Shree, Miss Chloe and Miss Maddie.
I would encourage anyone looking for a childcare centre for their children to consider YA Narellan. The care they show the children is exceptional & anytime I have reached out for information & to discuss my children they have given me their time.
