My niece goes here and can I just say how amazing this centre is! Special shout to Claire, who is so lovely and professional. She makes everyone feel so welcome, both parents and children. 100% recommend to everyone!
We really appreciate the wonderful care provided by the YA centre at The Ponds. Claire, Chloe, and Jamie have all played a significant role in creating a nurturing and educational environment for my son.Their dedication and commitment to the well-being of the children are truly commendable. Furthermore, I am grateful for the outstanding work of Ms. Saima in the kitchen. Her efforts in ensuring that the children receive healthy and delicious meals are invaluable.
Great educators who care and support children in every stage of their growth and development. I always felt my child is safe and being looked after by some great educators.
Wonderful centre with experienced and passionate educators who provide exceptional care for the children!
Amazing staff that really care for your kids with a centre full of resources that have seen my daughter grow and develop into an awesome little girl.
Excellent place, clean and well managed.
Small boutique centre offering a great program with experienced and friendly staff
Such great care for the children and happy faces on pick up , my son can’t want to get educator cuddles on drop off
Not recommended at all. They have a very strict policy which is about 20 pages long and parents must be ready to pick up their children at any time. Plus there is more than 24 hours of cooling time, which means the children need to stay at home the next day.
For example my son had Ventolin in the morning and was told he needs back to home. The Young Academy explained that this is according to their policy. But in other childcare, the educators can manage and provide Ventolin to my son, and there is no need to take him home.
Another real story happened to me is on Monday, September 25, 2023, I received a call from the centre and was told my son had itchy skin and watering eyes and need to go home. I asked if I could pick him up around 3pm. The staff said You Need To Pick Up Your Child Right Now with very firm attitude and voice. There were three colleagues sitting around me at that time, they all shocked by the way the staff talking. That night, I took my child to see a GP and had his skin and eyes checked.
The GP said he was fine and gave me the Medical Certificate. The next day on Tuesday, I received a call from the center again, saying that they suspected my child having a conjunctive virus. I need to pick up the child and see GP again. Also my child are not allowed to return to the Childcare on Wednesday according to their cooling time policy even if the doctor proves that there is no virus.
I explained that GP has already checked his eyes yesterday and there was nothing wrong with eyes. but they did't accept. However, on that night, I went to see another GP to check his eyes again. GP said clearly it is allergy and gave me Medical Certificate. But the Childcare still refused my child attending on Wednesday. A healthy child is not allowed go to Childcare because of a company's policy. It seems like the educator’s judgment of illness more professional than that of GP.
I feel unfair. My child and I didn't do anything wrong. But he is not allowed to attend the Childcare. At the same time, I still paid $165 per day. I feel stressed and upset.
If you are a full-time working parent and have a long commute. I really don’t recommend this Childcare. Their policy is only beneficial to the company but very unfriendly to parents.
Beautiful centre, Amazing educators, we love Erin :)
10/10 would recommend this centre! Staff are very caring and knowledgeable and they provide a very inclusive program where the children learn so much!
