Goodstart Early Learning Woolner

Normal Hours

We've been using Goodstart Woolner for almost 7 years (from when our first son was 10 months old) (at that stage it was Mission Australia) Our second son is in his second last year at the centre and we'll be sad to leave at the end of next year.
We love the small centre, with real grass and gardens for the children to explore. We especially like that the yard is at the back of the centre so the children are protected from interactions from outside the centre.
The carers / educators are always kind and nurturing to the children.  Thank you for many great years at the centre, Goodstart staff.

Very safe and clean
Staff are very friendly and welcoming, educators have provided me with my child's developmental stages, have adopted the plan I shared with them and are loved by all kids.
Centre directors are very flexible and have helped me book my child in at almost all times.

The teachers are wonderful! Very caring and create great, hands-on learning activities for the kids. Both of my little ones love going everyday. The pool is a bonus for the kids and great for our hot Darwin days.

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Woolner is located in a convenient spot, close to local schools and shops as well as community amenities.

We provide high quality early learning and care from birth to five years. Our Centre provides long day care with convenient hours, open Monday to Friday from 6.45am to 5.30pm (except public holidays). We can help you find the right session for your family as we offer 9 hour, 10 hour and all day sessions to help you make the most of your Child Care Subsidy.

Our Centre has started to implement Key Educator’s to help children build secure attachments and relationships with the Educators. This also helps the children have a sense of belonging. Each child will get a Key Educator to help them start their journey into our Centre.

 

Children at the centre will have access to engaging early childhood learning experiences and curriculum developed and delivered by experienced teachers through the Early Years' Learning Framework. Programs will be designed to foster each child’s individual needs and interests.

Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.
 
This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.

Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability.

 

Our centre environment and natural surroundings supports progressive indoor and outdoor programs for children to play, learn and explore. The environment will enhance children’s social/emotional, cognitive, language and physical aspects.

 

A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience. Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.

Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.
