Parent Reviews
Clayfield Early Learning has been an absolute dream for our family. Imogen has always been so kind and supportive to us and our little Savvy, helping with anything we needed. The entire team has been incredibly friendly and loving with Savannah, and they’ve taught her so much. We are truly grateful for everything.
It’s with a heavy heart that we say goodbye due to our relocation. We will dearly miss this beautiful centre, and so will Savannah.
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️🥰🥹
I am so grateful I found this daycare, my son has just started here and the staff especially Imogen and Mrs Harriet have been incredible, I was so anxious leaving my son, but they have made this transition so smooth and always answer my questions and concerns, I know my son is so looked after. Imogen thank you for always welcoming us with a smile on your face. This centre is truely incredible.
A clean, beautiful family owned centre with friendly, reliable, professional and nurturing educators - highly recommend! The natural timber outdoor play area with real plants and the sand pit is a big hit for out little one! The centre is organised and well run and very clean and all staff are super friendly towards the parents and children. I can't recommend this centre high enough, everything is positive!
I would highly recommend this facility with my own personal experience. There is so much to say about this place but I will be sharing few experiences being as a parents we all have so many concerns regarding our children and daycare of course.
Starting from the centre manager Imogen to all the way down to his educators Miss Eliza, Miss Harriet and all the educators in the centre listens, understands and personally work on your child as per their requirements. They always make you feel welcome.
I had to change his days few times every time it was accepted with smile and always my phone calls and emails were answered.
I have seen drastic change in my son in a positive manner and he loves going to kindy.
We are moving to Canada permanently I am hoping to find such an amazing facility for my son. We are taking all the memories and positive vibes with us.
I would personally like to appreciate and thank each and everyone in the centre for making our journey smooth and easy.
What a wonderful centre and community to be a part of. The staff are consistent, caring and approachable - all questions whether by phone or email are answered promptly. We’ve watched our son bloom from nursery to toddler rooms, the educators form genuine relationships with the kids and because of that he’s a confident and inquisitive chatter box. Drops offs are easy and pick ups are hard because he never wants to leave his friends! I can unequivocally say this centre and his educators are a huge contributor to my son’s development and happy disposition.
Encountered issues with previous & current managers. Hoped for positive change with KAL management but faced condescending, dismissive, patronising behaviour & lack of acknowledgment & accountability. Annette, Debbie & Imogen need training on handling complaints/concerns/enquires. There are good times but negatives outweigh them & caused much distress & extreme frustration. Upon leaving centre I requested folders (education journals) asked manager if more time was needed to arrange them but told no & received nothing to show for 1 child education for last 1-2yrs bringing me to tears, whereas my other child had a lovely art folder, no journal. Manager could have posted them. SOME Issues over 4yrs include - Inconsistencies in equality, another parent brings a puppy to the centre as it is up to managers discretion, while denying this to us because of WHS, this was clear favouritism & double standards in decision-making. Hard to believe she was unaware of the puppy due to her known love of dogs. My child endured a traumatic incident, he was bitten leaving visible mark for months. Concerns not adequately addressed & subsequent incidents involving him led to ostracisation, shaming & pinching by a teacher/s. This initiated behaviour issues & negative perception among peers. After expressing concerns for speech & behaviour no investigation or support offered till too late. He endured blame for incidents he wasn't involved in triggering social, emotional challenges for us both weekly. This extended to recent theft of his belongings & FALSE accusations such as stealing a phone. Seeing children’s behaviours at pickup & drop off I believe some of these behaviours were learned from peers but made worse by some caregivers not addressing this appropriately. Staff ignore problems. Under Imogen supervision Breastmilk thrown out WITHOUT consent OR communicated. Also breastmilk not mixed together leaving hindmilk residue behind. I swapped to formula. It was stressful & impacted my breastfeeding journey. Routines for both not followed, including my child being put to bed 40min early. My child was distressed. Requested nappy cream every change (I supplied) this did not occur. My child’s rash so bad it was bleeding. Happened a few times. KAL changed to a poor quality nappy & wipes causing more rashes. Centre missed many social events. When I raised this, manager was rude. An event calendar was made but some events were missed & some dates are on Saturday? KAL Discontinued onsite made meals & stopped breakfast. Opening at 6am & the removal of toast demonstrates lack of basic kids needs & parental convenience. Many centres provide this, especially those who open at 6am. Reasons for change-budget, manager personally covering cost, but with company card thats questionable. Catered meals are good but offer poor variety & portion size in comparison. I enquired about catering being more expensive- no response leading me to believe it is. It’s money that could be used on upgrades/ staff/ resources. I was told to use Xap for communication, when I did I filled a medical form, I received a call, which I missed by seconds. Manager contacted 2nd guardian & demanded they come to the centre immediately to rewrite form. Poor judgment from manager when the issue stems from lack of awareness & training. Manager showed a lack of understanding & failed to acknowledge accountability for incident. KAL reducing timeframe for morning setup has ultimately lead to the failure of their own staff being ready in the morning. My children are at a new centre where they have extra staff on, there is always someone present on arrival with breakfast, they did a parent information night explaining learning outcomes they had planned & I received learning journals. Adjustments by KAL have resulted in departure of team members due to changes. KAL alterations also contributed significantly to departure of parents. This directly correlates with KAL. Despite consistently poor experiences with all management, the dismissiveness displayed by KAL management is concerning.
My son hasn't had an easy transition into day care and can get quite upset on drop off. The staff are so supportive and kind and always manage to cheer him up when I leave. All the staff are lovely but special mention to Miss Harriet for always looking after my little one and distressing him and to Miss Imogen who does all the above PLUSA always accommodates my ever changing schedule. It's a nice little daycare and you can tell they really do care. Thank you
We have been so impressed by Clayfield Early Learning Centre, we moved to Brisbane a couple of months ago and needed to find care for my 9 month old little girl and 4 year old son. I went to 6 different centres, when I walked into Clayfield Early Learning and met with Imogene I just knew it was the one.
The Centre is always clean and tidy with new pictures up on the walls of fun activities the children have done. The staff are friendly and caring.
Imogene the centre manager has gone above and beyond to help my 4 year old settle in (who was so sad to leave his friends in Sydney).
I would highly recommend it.
I enrolled my son at CELC in September, and have had nothing but a great experience with them. Imogen and her team have helped my son settle in so quickly and easily, and the daily updates of the going-ons in the centre have helped to ease my anxiety about having him in daycare. I can’t thank this centre and it’s educators enough for all they do for my son and I!
