Kindy Science
Kindy Science has been developed to enrich and extend early childhood aged children in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) using engaging activities in an everyday environment.
Early exposure to STEM concepts encourages children to question the world around them and look for solutions to problems. Hypothesising and following scientific and design methods to create new and interesting ideas.
Library Reading Day
Developing reading skills within young children is crucial as it lays the foundation for lifelong learning and academic success, enhances language development, and fosters critical thinking abilities. Reading empowers children to explore new worlds, ideas, and perspectives, nurturing their imagination and empathy.
To support our children in improving their reading skills and developing reading habits, our educators take children to our in-house library every Tuesday. At our library, children read and borrow books that are able to be taken home for the week.
Bush Kindy
Our Bush Kindy program happens every Wednesday. Children are driven by bus to the Karawatha State Forest where they visit the discovery centre, learning about wildlife and the native fauna and flora. Afterwards, we participate in a bushwalk, taking in and learning about the natural environment around us!
Intergenerational Connection Program
Developing intergenerational relationships at BTP Early Learning Centre is of importance as it enriches children’s learning experiences by connecting them with seniors who offer valuable life lessons, promote empathy, and create a sense of community. Every Thursday, our centre welcomes local senior citizens, who have lived in our community for more than 40 years, to share their stories and help our children learn about history and the importance of respect.
Physi Kids
Physi kids is a sport and fitness program that helps children develop a positive attitude towards physical activity.
Self-confidence is nurtured and motor skills are developed. Physi kids takes children’s learning from cognitive and gross motor development into a world of understanding and awareness; all through fun and interactive play.
