I received a call from the centre at about 10:21 am from an assistant educator saying "This is a courtesy call just to let you know that Japreen is fine but she had tripped. She was wearing a long costume longer than her size when she tripped. She was limping a bit but she is completely fine." I responded that it's fine I will come to get her. First of all, it is a health and safety hazard to have costumes that are longer than the size of a child in the space. Anything could happen. As I got in the centre, I noted my child was completely ignored as all the three educators were busy in their own chores and my child was crying straight after she saw me. An educator quickly picked her up and brought her to me. I wanted to see my child walking but she could hardly put her foot down. Upon speaking with the center director Barbee, she said she has no idea what has happened, she knows what girls have said to her. Well this is not at all an excuse. How could it be possible that a Centre Director is just saying I have no idea about anything.
On Tuesday, I collected my child from the centre with a massive graze on her knee. None of the educators have an idea of what had happened.As per the rules and regulations, any incident brought to attention by a parent or a staff member should be documented and the incident report should be signed by the parent. Never happened. The group leader said she had seen the graze and discussed it with Barbee but was told not to bother about it. How rude and negligent. The health and safety of children is being compromised in the centre. On various occasions, my child has been playing in the toddler yard/nursery playground and her hat is found in her bag which does mean that children. don't have access to their hats in the afternoon.

Everyone there is awesome and never had an issue with anything.

The director Marie is incredibly rude. Completely ignored me while I was speaking over the phone and had the audacity to hang up on me, someone was having a bad day. Cant trust the care of your children in a place with a rude director.

Sunkids Calamvale are heads down are the best child care centre I have put my child in. I have 5 kids in total with my youngest at Sunids. The stuff make you feel apart of the family or not just a number or money to them. The center is always clean from top to bottom. They take the time an effort to get to know your child. I would give them a million starts if I could. Will recommend Sunkids Calamvale to anyone that ask for a great child care centre. Keep up the amazing work ladies.
