Fantastic!
This is the third centre I've sent my kids to and we are so happy. The staff are lovely and caring and every day my son comes home with a huge smile and lots of stories.
They recently renovated and the rooms look so fresh and full of life.
Can't fault this place.

We couldn’t recommend this daycare more, and the reason is simple: the staff. When you find a daycare where all the staff members are so caring, lovely, committed to their job and with a positive attitude every time I go pick up my kid, it is priceless. I have found the Goodstart Hawthorne to be a great centre for my son. The teachers have a caring nature and give your children the required comfort they need throughout the day. This has made it easier for me to leave my son. The kids have large play areas inside and out which is great! Thank you!

A fabulous centre, my daughter adores all the staff who are incredibly patient and kind with her. Feedback and communication with parents is excellent, I love seeing all the stories about what she and her friends have done during the day. They have chickens and a great veggie garden which I think is fantastic for the kids. We have had nothing but a wonderful experience here!!!

As new parents, we had no experience with Daycare Centers. It was difficult to choose a centre. We wanted a place that would be safe, educational, and close to home. We found what we were looking for. Our daughter is being cared for by people that truly care about her and want to see her to well in life. We love to hear and look at photos daily about the things that she is experiencing and learning.
We appreciate very much that the educators are teaching and not just "watching" her.
Everyone at Goodstart in Hawthorne are very caring and lovely. My little girl gets so excited every Monday to go to her daycare.

Goodstart Early Learning Hawthorne is located on a quiet street in the leafy suburb of Hawthorne. It is a heritage listed Church building, built in c1910. We are easily accessible by public transport with the City Cat and bus stops nearby and are close to the popular Hawthorne Park and Oxford Street in Bulimba. 

Our centre caters for children from 15 months to school age and we pride ourselves on being a family-oriented centre - giving parents the comfort and peace of mind as they set their children on their wondrous learning journey.

We have a small but very dedicated team of educators, a number of whom have worked here for many years. Our educators are qualified, highly experienced, and passionate about our centre, children and families and the community.

Our play-based curriculum is founded on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Toddlers to Kindergarten – are all set up with this in mind. Our Educators develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; with the ongoing goal of ensuring children are ready to take the next step in their learning journey. In Kindergarten, we deliver a government funded learning program that is based on the Queensland Kindergarten Learning guidelines, this program is implemented by a Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teacher.

Staying connected is made simple through our intuitive Storypark online platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communication with families. This means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp children’s developments, milestones and achievements.

Outdoors, our play spaces are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam. Our sustainability focus is embedded through our ‘Bushtucker’ gardens, worm farm and chicken coup. Our children love to feed the chickens and worms their food scraps and water the gardens throughout the day.

We provide nutritious meals for our children. Our daily menus consist of fresh quality produce and are both healthy and delicious. KGF (our meal provider) caters to all dietary and cultural needs of our children and families. We also provide Huggies nappies and wipes included in the daily fees.
