Louise Lappeman
Centre Director
My name is Louise Lappeman and I am proud to have been the Centre Director at Goodstart Benowa since September 2005. I completed my Advanced Diploma through the National Institute of Early Childhood Education in 2008.
I first started at this child care centre, in Benowa, in 1994 and since then have enjoyed working with all age groups and staff in the early learning, kindergarten and preschool environments. I pride myself on having the centre feel welcoming and inviting to all members of our community.
I believe early childhood is a time to learn about life. It is a journey of adventure and discovery, a time for fun and laughter and a time for children to develop their own understandings of the world and their place in it.
My personal philosophy is based around the family being a fundamental unit of society. In the position I hold as a child care worker I believe in recognising the importance of a warm, friendly and caring environment, which reflects individual and cultural diversity for everyone. Each and every child is individual with unique needs.
I aim to provide loving, nurturing and quality child care, for the Benowa community, in a safe and hygienic environment.
Being an integral part of our positive team allows me to help develop a stimulating and challenging early learning program. This program exposes the children to a creative experience that will allow them to gain self-esteem and a concept of their self that is vital to their individually and self-respect.
I believe by constantly reviewing the program the children will participate in age appropriate activities that will fulfil all areas of development.
By respecting regulations I am able to continue to provide a safe and healthy environment where we hope to help grow happy and secure children and adults of the future.
