Super happy with TMC, one daughter in year 9 and one daughter in year 1.
Staff are lovely, and so much extra support avail if needed.
My experience at this school has been far from positive, largely due to poor management and an unsupportive environment. The administration, led by Fiona Stephens, has shown a serious lack of competence. Her approach to running the school has been disorganized and unresponsive, often making students feel like their concerns are not important. Scheduling mistakes, inconsistent policies, and poor communication about important events have become regular sources of frustration.
It’s also worth mentioning that Mark Stephens, who is supposedly responsible for communicating with the school community, appears to rely heavily on generic, AI-generated messages rather than taking the time to craft genuine, personalized responses. This lack of effort further highlights the administration's detachment from the needs and concerns of the students and their families.
Many of the teachers, while knowledgeable, seem to lack the support they need from the administration, leading to inconsistent teaching quality. There's little effort to create a positive, encouraging atmosphere, and the focus seems to be more on enforcing rules than helping students grow.
The overall management fails to prioritize the needs of the students, with limited resources for mental health and academic support. The heavy workload combined with poor organization makes it hard to keep up, and students are often left feeling isolated and overwhelmed. It’s clear that the school cares more about maintaining appearances than genuinely improving the student experience.
In summary, the poor management under Fiona Stephens and the impersonal communication from Mark Stephens have made this a challenging place to learn and grow. I would not recommend it to anyone seeking a nurturing or well-run educational experience.
Great school with caring staff and nice people!
I miss, mrs radlye :c

We have visited Tamborine Mountain College on many occasions and have seen the wonderful relationships shared between Principal, Vice Principal, teachers, staff and children. It appears the children are learning in a happy, respectful, caring environment.
Been at this school since 2015, good school!

Ah, Tamborine Mountain College - where the air is thin, but the education is thicc! This school is nestled in the mountains of Queensland and it's like going on a hike every day just to get to class. But hey, at least you'll be fit, right? The campus is so green and lush, you'll feel like you're studying in the middle of the Amazon rainforest. If you're not careful, you might even encounter a tribe of wild students who have been living off of instant noodles and caffeine for days. But don't worry, the teachers are like jungle guides, leading you through the dense underbrush of algebra and biology. The students are pretty cool too - they're like a bunch of monkeys, always swinging from one class to another with ease. Overall, Tamborine Mountain College is a great place to learn and grow, and you'll come out of it feeling like Tarzan, king of the academic jungle.
