My daughters journey at Edge Early Learning Strathpine began in 2021 when she had just turned 2 years old. From the moment we met Kate, we instantly felt comfortable and knew that we had made the right decision.
She has developmental delays so when she started she was our bum shuffler who wasn't able to walk or stand on her own. Miss Jazzy, Miss Maddy, Miss Hayley, Miss Navi and numerous other educators took her under their wing and helped her daily, supporting her through this initial delay. They took our baby and made sure she was able to connect with educators and stayed safe.
The following year she moved into Toddler 2 room with Miss Maddy moving with her. This is when she came under the care for the first time of the amazing Miss Ari. She formed a bond straight away with Miss Ari and of course Miss Maddy. This is where she started to thrive in her environment. After starting to walk at 27 mths old, she was full of fear and hesitation. So far off the ground now with those long legs, Miss Ari and Miss Maddy helped her build her confidence during the year and continued to nurture her, always there for a cuddle at drop off or when she had a fall or just because.
So in 2023, she hit Kindy 1 room. Back with her beloved Miss Ari and the amazing Miss Jess, this was set to be the best year yet. To be honest, I think we had more fear at times then her of how she would fit into her new surroundings. At this stage she was not able to tackle most of the playground equipment due to her delay but mainly due to her fear of falling. This set her apart from her peers and started her questioning why she couldn't do things other kids did. But what a year this was - Miss Jess and Miss Ari provided a stable and nurturing environment where she went from strength to strength. Her friendships started to blossom and my favourite part of this year was watching her want to learn everything and being so proud when she did. Maybe she may have physically been behind but she learnt that it was OK and that strength comes in different forms.
Throughout the last couple of years, she has also formed a very special bond with Miss Cass who was her 2nd mum. Always a cuddle to offer when sad or happy, giggles and also teaching her another way to be able to communicate through sign. Forever grateful Miss Cass!
As we start the final journey with Edge, I have so many mixed emotions and there will truly be no words that could ever thank every single person that has been apart of this amazing journey of hers. I will miss our daily banter and feel like I am also saying goodbye to people that have become friends and important figures in my life. Thank you all for always having an ear to lend me to offer advice or really just a great daily laugh that always made my day better.
We will miss our edge family but will continue to share her next amazing journey of starting big girl school in 2025. Thank you all for preparing her for this big step and know that you have all made a difference in our lives.
Our family has been at the centre since our eldest son was 6 months old and we wouldn’t go anywhere else! We have 3 children now and each of them have flourished here with the help of the wonderful staff. All of the educators have been caring and supportive of our kids needs and they communicate any updates regularly. The rooms and playgrounds are full of exciting activities to extend their learning and the meals on offer are healthy and always fill our little ones up! Our Son loves the indoor/outdoor play option and our Daughter is thriving in the kindergarten program as she prepares for school next year. Highly recommend Edge Early Learning Strathpine!
The best centre! Friendly staff, very welcoming. The children are always happy and excited to go to kindy. Ms Jade and Ms Lauren are the best kindy teachers ever 🙂
I have terrible experience with this center’s staff . Some of staff don’t have good behaviour even . I am not gonna suggest people around me about this center :
Big shoutout to all the educators at this centre. Both my daughters have been so lucky to receive the tireless care and encouragement from educators over the years at the centre. My youngest daughter (toddler room) calls a couple of you ‘Mama’ and this is because you really fill that role to nurture and support her while she adjusts and learns about her emotions and confidence in a space away from her family. The patience and kindness is something I am incredibly grateful for. I really am thankful for each and every one of you turning up and doing the hard work while we are away from our children. Pay rise for childcare workers- I support it!
My daughter started at the centre in March 22 at just 4 months in the Nursery. As this was my first child and leaving her at daycare so young I was super distressed. Not only we’re the educators fantastic with my little girl they were so wonderful with checking in with me and getting me used to it aswell. They accommodated everything we needed and went out of their way to ensure he schedule was stuck to. My daughter is now in a toddler room and thriving. She adores her educators and practically skips off the see them at drop off. We will be sending our next baby here with the utmost confidence as the centre and its staff are incredible. Can not rate them highly enough.
I can't recommend this centre and the educators highly enough. With a newborn as a first time mum I had no idea how to choose a centre. Some said "feel a vibe", others said "read reviews", one said "a good centre manager has good staff, stability and a well run informative place for your child to be safe, educated and yourself remain informed and feel included". I got all of that from Edge and the outdoor areas and creative indoor areas were an added bonus. Please do yourself and your child a favour and drop in and book a time for a tour. My prep child still wants to go back and visit now!
We have been going to Edge at Strathpine for 4 years with our 2 kids and unfortunately as we are moving away, we have having to leave. The kids have absolutely loved it here and we are so thankful we found such a great daycare centre. The educators are always so caring and have the kids wellbeing as their highest priority. We would definitely recommend and we just hope our new daycare is as good as Edge Strathpine.
Discrimination against staff members. Would not recommend this company whatsoever.
