ABOUT OUR EARLY LEARNING SERVICE At Gumnuts Childcare we offer a safe, nurturing and happy environment while delivering educational programs that are stimulating, engaging and enhance children's learning and development. We aim to provide the facilities, resources and learning experiences that meet the diverse range of abilities and interests of all children. We have 4 Reggio inspired learning spaces. All rooms are air-conditioned and have reverse-cycle heating for the cooler months. Importantly for working families, we offer a Government Approved Kindergarten Program, where existing families have priority access. We invite your family to take a tour of our Service and where you will meet our friendly, experienced Educators and experience our fun learning environments. We want you to share in our belief of the importance of play and how it influences your child’s learning. Our Service Manager and Educators are available to discuss the Service's Philosophy and operations, play & learning activities, your child’s progress or queries about your child’s care and education. Your participation is encouraged as we believe it enhances the opportunities offered to your child. MEET OUR SERVICE MANAGER My name is Kim and I have 30 years’ experience working in the Early Childhood Sector, from Family Day Care to Pre School in Sydney, and Long Day Care in Queensland. For the past 11 years I have been a Service Manager and hold an Advanced Diploma in Children’s Services. I believe the first five years of a child’s life are fundamentally important. These early years are the foundations for building positive life and learning skills. These skills follow children throughout their schooling life, family life, contribution to community and beyond. Children learn more quickly during their early years than at any other time in their life. Children need to be loved and nurtured to develop a sense of trust and security that turns into confidence as they grow.
