Over the span of 4 years I tried 3 different daycare centres. None of the others could come close to the care, compassion and love the staff at Goodstart provide. After every session my children would all have something new and exciting to tell me about from the day, they are incredibly helpful with parenting advice when it's asked for and keeping you up to date with everything that is happening with your child, especially their milestones. The current director Shannon has the biggest heart and loves the children in her centre as if they were her own family. By far it is the best centre we have experienced.

We have been at this centre for just over two years and I couldn’t be happier with staff and management. They are so so caring and not only because they have to, but because they want to! Everyone knows your name and are truly invested in the kids! Our children love going to ‘school’ to play with their friends and teachers!

I highly recommend checking out this centre for your little one, you won’t regret it!

I have had the pleasure of meeting all the amazing staff who work here and who look after my daughter.
On arrivals Shannon is there with the most warming welcome you can ask for. She is very caring and understand of each individual who walks threw the front door.
The atmosphere within the center is outstanding along with excellent communication skills from all staff members.
Over the past 12 months i can see a significant difference in my daughters learning in the kindagarden room and is now ready to take her next step into prep.

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Bundaberg - Takalvan Street is conveniently located on the service road of Takalvan Street, 2.5km from the centre of Bundaberg, with plenty of off street parking at the front of the centre. We are in a residential area, close to Sugarland Shopping Centre and schools.

We provide a warm and caring learning environment for all children aged between six weeks and twelve years of age. All age groups follow the Early Years Learning Framework and our Kindergarten Program group participates in Bundaberg Regional Library visits, throughout the year.

All our educators are highly qualified and have numerous years of experience in the child care industry. All educators hold current Blue Cards and First Aid Certificates.  Our Early Childhood Teacher, has been a member of our team and running the Kindergarten program for the past seven years. Our teacher enjoys undertaking extensive training to assist her and others within the child care industry.

Inside, all of the rooms  - from Nursery to Kindergarten - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.

Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces – with swings, climbing equipment, sandpits, soft fall areas, garden beds, trees, dry creek bed, cuby houses, dirt pit, bike track and lots of shade. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.

Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.

Through key partnerships in the community we are able to enrich the children's learning opportunities by inviting visitors to the centre to give real world examples of how things work. It also means we can arrange excursions and visits to community landmarks and organisations.
