Normal Hours

This centre goes above and beyond with my son. He is usually quite shy with people he doesn't know. It did not take him long at all to build strong relationships with his educators, they really take the time to get to know your children. He is thriving and I would not take his anywhere else.

Goodstart Walkerston is a beautiful center. When I drop my Children off they are always greeted with big smile and you always have a warm feeling when walking in.

Excellent daycare centre with the loveliest staff. My kids love going here!

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Walkerston is part of a country community with many of our families coming from a cane farming or mining background. We are located close to shops, lovely local schools and our community's parks and sporting facilities.

We believe good communication between educators and parents is vital to ensure consistency between the home environment and our child care centre. We involve families in our program and routines, and frequently hold special events where families are invited into the centre.

Our programs are full of fun and educational activities and ensure that each child’s individual developmental needs are being met. 

Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.
 
This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
 
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.

We also have a cook on premises five days a week and we provide breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. The meals that we provide are healthy and nutritious and we also cater for children who have allergies to certain foods.

Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.

We also regularly have fun days such as wet play and dress up days where the children and carers thoroughly enjoy joining in. Our centre features a spacious undercover veranda which allows the children to enjoy outdoor play in all types of weather.
