Goodstart Early Learning Proserpine

I first started as an assistant educator studying my Certificate 3 in children services. This was the very start of my journey, where I found something, I loved and something I became so passionate about. I then continued my way up the ladder, moving into a group leader role for 5 years and completing my Diploma in children services.

I began to understand during these years just how crucial the early years of a child’s life can be and not only are we the ones that are privileged enough to be there to observe this growth and development of these beautiful children that come into our lives and care, but we are the ones that can shape, foster, and encourage this development in young children through multiple teaching styles.

I was then offered the opportunity to become the Assistant Director of Goodstart Proserpine. This was a position that I slowly began gaining more knowledge on over the years and every year taking more and more responsibility to one day be able to do this job successfully.

After being the AD for 2 years I then became the Centre Director for Goodstart Proserpine. This was the most amazing experience, and I am thoroughly enjoying being able to lead a team and a centre in a positive direction for whatever they next years may bring us while creating and maintaining respectful trusting relationships with all families, children, and communities along the way.
