The educator didn't go through anything with me, told me there was a wait list and that was it. Also had the vibe that I wasn't wanted and neither was my child. Very poor service!

Our family has used Goodstart for a few years. This is the second, and last centre, we will use. The teachers treat our children like their own, so it’s comforting to know that our babies are really well looked after. Our kids love being there, and it shows when they come home happy and excited to go back tomorrow.

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Mount Louisa is conveniently located on Bayswater Road next to Mount Louisa shops and close to RAAF Base Townsville.

The centre comprises of two buildings, accommodating children from birth to school age. Each room has a variety of toys and books to play with, helping your child to expand their social, intellectual and physical skills during their time at the centre.
 
The early learning professionals at Goodstart Mount Louisa have qualifications or are furthering their study, enabling them to provide high quality care and learning opportunities for your child. The team will work in partnership with you to form educational goals and care routines for your child. Your child will be encouraged to develop at a pace appropriate for them, through individualised structured and play-based learning.
 
Your child’s own strengths and interests will be incorporated into their daily program to enhance their learning experiences.

The rooms  - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning.
 
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, they can participate in activities such as riding around the bike track, tending the centre’s vegie garden, using the produce in the centre’s food and cooking experiences, and creating masterful pieces of art. These activities help your child develop social, emotional, mental and physical skills.

We also have a cook at the centre providing tasty and nutritious meals for the children when tummies start to growl. 

Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.
