Great school, fantastic teachers and the special needs unit is one of a kind, the woman who run that do a great job!!

It's a great school with plenty of space for children to play on different playgrounds and soccer oval!! They have a small but nice canteen, different buildings for age groups and classes are great! The great Collins reserve is right next to the school with plenty of ovals for soccer and cricket, skate park and tennis courts!! Great area and school all around.

I just thought I would share my experience with Kidman Park, and if you have a child with a disability, read on.
I’ve been parking in the main car park for a number of years with 4 car parks for children with disabilities.  Unfortunately, the parking spaces are inadequate to cater for the number of children with wheelchairs or walking aids.  Before I continue, I have a child with a disability and is in a wheelchair.  Yesterday I parked illegally as I had no alternative to collect my child.  Council workers were on the prowl and took a photo of my car, I suspect I will receive something in the mail.  Did he bother to check my parking permit or question why I was parked there, absolutely not!!  I approached the councillor and indicated I had nowhere else to park, he kept reiterating that I should park elsewhere……there were no other parks.
I spoke to John Clarke this morning and he was not help whatsoever, other than give me the corporate line.  He did suggest I should park elsewhere which is further and more awkward to get too.  Should a child with a disability be inconvenienced in order to attend school easily?  Has the school done anything about parents parking illegally in disabled parks, not since I’ve been at the school!  It is very disappointing for a school who advertises itself to cater for students with disabilities and yet only provides 4 car parks in the main car park area.
