Parent Reviews
I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts about the Cowandilla Children's Center, where my daughter has been attending.
Cowandilla Children's Center truly stands out as an excellent place for children to learn while having a great time. The environment is vibrant and engaging, which fosters both creativity and curiosity in the kids. My daughter always looks forward to going to school, which speaks volumes about her experience there.
One of the aspects I appreciate most is the professionalism and care exhibited by the teachers. They are not only knowledgeable but also genuinely caring, ensuring that each child feels valued and supported. This nurturing atmosphere allows children to thrive and develop their skills in a safe space.
Additionally, the center maintains high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, which is crucial for the well-being of the children. I have always been impressed by the efforts taken to keep the environment safe and healthy, providing peace of mind for parents like myself.
Overall, I am grateful for the positive impact Cowandilla Children's Center has had on my daughter's early education. I highly recommend it to any parent seeking a wonderful learning experience for their child.
(my name was also jayden chuma)
Poorly designed and outdated buildings, plus also having horrible staff and strict teachers. This school also has very bad support for children with disabilities, such as Autism.
I have a very extremely unpleasant experience from one the kindergarden teacher, her name was Mrs Clark. years ago my son was attending this school. My English was not very good to communicate with teachers. My son was very shy and quiet he also has language delay he was completely by himself. This was the first school he attended. Every day when I was coming to pick him up he was in tears and most of the time he was isolated from others as a punishment. Once I saw Mrs Clark grab my son's wrist so tightly that he was badly crying when I asked Mrs. Clark she was blaming that he is very violent towards others. I knew he wasn't. She told me that because you came from a different country, you don't know that in Australia we don't accept violent behaviour. I had no idea how to convince this old lady that my son never been violent. One day I met an Iranian lady her daughter also at the same class of my son. she had similar problem her daughter didn't want to go school. The hardest thing for me that my son was not able express his problem even sometimes home time he was crying in the car he wasn't able to tell me what is wrong with him, reflecting those memories I think I tortured my son sending him to this school. I should lodge a formal complaint against that woman. She was very cruel, unfair and racist teacher. I am not sure if she still be alive because she was very old and unfit for her job even that time. When I transfer my son to different public school. He was much much better. He loved his teachers, and his school. There was a big noticeable improvement on him. I never had a single complaint from his behaviour. I hope Cowandilla primary school improved now otherwise I don't recommend it for migrant's children.
I am one of the year six IELP class student and I would like to say that this school is amazing, the staff are friendly and all. You have a big area to play, lots of sports equipment that you can use on break time, (most of the time) there are friendly people (some younger students tend to be a bit mean sometimes). They also have lots of out-of-school activities like excursions and camp (mainly for year six students).
The preschool staff and facilities are absolutely wonderful - my son is having a fantastic experience this year with a beautifully diverse group of children.
One of the best schools around this area, teachers are amazing at supporting children and listening to them. All children need to be heard not judged and this school wins that award hands down. Students are friendly, the school is awesome. Definitely recommend cowandilla for sure.
the bathrooms r probably going to be the death of me 💀
