Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre in Melrose Park is a 70 place early learning centre located in a secure but convenient spot, close to local schools and shops, making the daily drop-off and pick-up easier!   Catering for children aged six weeks to school aged children, we have four learning spaces at the centre - Nursery, Toddler, Pre-Kindy and Kindergarten.   Our experienced early childhood educators and teachers deliver an age appropriate early learning curriculum tailored to your child's individual interests.   At Goodstart Melrose Park our Kindergarten program is evidence based and is specifically designed for children aged 3-5 years. The curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework, which is delivered by our degree-qualified Early Childhood Teacher. We nurture children’s collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking skills. Our goal is to ensure children have the learning, development and wellbeing outcomes they need for school and life. Stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.   Thr majority of our communication with families is through Storypark and we find that this enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This communication also means that we have a strong partnerships with our families which supports us to tailor our programs to the children’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity within our centre.   Outside, our age appropriate outdoor play spaces and equipment are all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the natural environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability and respect for the environment. Our play areas have sandpits, natural gardens, a play kitchen and open space to run around - and everything in between - with lots of shade for sunsafe play.   Through key partnerships and tapping into the skills and talents of our families and the broader community, we are able to enrich the children's learning program with "real life" visits and incursions, as well as exciting visits to locations within the community.   Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.
