amazing school, definetly miss going there and the teachers are so nice and sweet. but the perfoming arts teacher is slightly racist. other than that i loved the school and the opportunities i was given. i loved being src and sports day. some of the best teachers are miss k, miss esposito and miss amy.

Hello teachers and students (and parents), if ur reading this
I'm a fellow Walky student who recently graduated a few years ago!
Ok i know this is meant to be a review but im gonna spend this time reflecting on my experience here as well :)
The actual review part:
This school is amazing. There were a lot of amazing people in every year level, and the teachers try their best to support you in any way they can. There are 3 whole playgrounds, gardens and an oval that is easily accessible. At lunch time you can even access an oval across the road (which is awesome). In short, there's a whole lot of space to run around and spend time with your friends and its an amazing school.
Okay now to my personal review. (hi guys)
Just looking around the website brings back so many memories (i can literally spot myself on the website). As a graduated student, I really really enjoyed my time here and made a lot of memories with my friends and teachers. Most of my teachers were very supportive and although there was a lot of homework, PAINFUL pointless spelling lists and tons of five minute frenzies, I was very sad to leave. I still have my personalized jacket in my wardrobe and I'm sure to hang onto it for a long time.
To the teachers:
You made every day fun and enjoyable (well, almost). You filled my day with fun activities (mostly) and I had an amazing time. I remember playing in the sandpit, microwaving chocolate chips for science, the never-ending Pokémon card trend (im pretty sure its completely gone now). The mixed feelings and happiness of winning the red pen (which I lost very quickly, thanks elly), the announcing of the house points tally (church kept coming last *CRIES*). It's an experience I will never forget, thank you all for that.
The buddy system was cool, and having a little buddy made you feel really really responsible (which I wasn't).
The one thing I really disliked was the pointless spelling lists. You got a new one every single week and had to do time-consuming activities such as spelling words and putting them in diagrams for words you already knew to spell. It was a pain :')
Rating subjects part (i loved the teachers, just not the subjects-)
I especially loved Music (hi mr Hamdorf) it was just so fun watching line rider videos and playing with the boomwhackers. Also that cool small cardboard castle thing, idk if its still there but it was always in the corner. Festival of Music was also a great experience and I really reccomend it to anyone reading this lol
I loved Art as well (hi miss moore)
I don't know why we had to make boat things to float on the water but thats cool i guess
I actually cannot count how many times I had to draw a golden wattle branch but let's just say.. It was a lot.
Science was awesome. Making the salt crystals was so fun but we weren't allowed to eat them (which was practically the whole point i think). I got to make a super cool light up Christmas Card (it sounded way cooler than it actually was)
Maths and English? Well uh...
PE was mostly fun. I loved playing sports as a class! The amount competition on sports day was overwhelming though-
Let's just say I struggled in Chinese (like a lot). It was still cool though
ok random stuff now:
Wakakirri was a cool experience. It involved a lot of teamwork and planning, but it was a fun collaborative experience that got everyone involved. Basically everybody in my year level hated it.
I remember getting to make a miniature golf course in my class, my friends and I made a Titanic one and it was really fun. Camp was just awesome we got to do so many fun things and I made so many friends! Aaaah I still remember being in Room 11 and having to put up the flag, it was a pain lol
My biggest highlights?
-Wakakirri (painful, but fun)
-Friends
-POKEMON CARDS
-The intense screaming of happiness when the rain bell went off
I loved everything about this school (except the work) and I wish I could've stayed longer. Thanks for all the memories!! :)
