Alfred Child Care Centre

An amazing child care facility. My daughter has blossomed there. Our experience in the baby room (0-2) was excellent. The carers are very experienced and there seems to be low staff turnover. Great food too- our generally picky eater will have 2 servings of lunch there! So happy we prioritized experience and staff warmth over shiny new buildings!

As a single parent, with no family in Australia, it is incredibly important that I rate this place 5stars publicly. They took incredible care of my daughter, and of me. My daughter has grown confident and warm through the remarkable job of the teachers who were instrumental in raising her with me. No daily photo updates, if that’s what you are looking for. Personally I wasn’t. I wanted teachers who were focused on the environment, and my child. I always felt incredibly lucky to have had Hazel land a spot here.

My 2.5 year old son goes here. He’s been there since he’s 1 years old and they have really grown to know and nurture him. The food is fantastic, they facilities up to date and the carers bonds and really teaches the kids a lot of things including being able to defend themselves. For example, they taught al the kids to say “No, stop it, I don’t like it!” To anyone who does something that they don’t like. It’s a small place with 3 classrooms. 0-2, 2-3 and pre-school. Many of the carers have been around for awhile as well. The kids read, play, sing, make pop corn, help cook muffins, go to the nearby Fawkner park for a play, and each room has an outdoor area where the kids can play. Check them out if you live in the area.

Great little centre, friendly staff and good atmosphere.

Have sent two emails and tried calling many times with no response. Doesn’t leave a good impression for someone wanting to leave their child in their hands.
