Fantastic centre. Our son has attended Perry St for 2 years and loves it. Lovely caring and attentive educators, most who have been at the centre for years. Excellent indoor and shady outdoor play spaces, chickens, herb gardens and delicious food. Highly recommend!
A wonderful centre, with such great staff. Have enjoyed bringing my children here from day 1. They make great friends; are fed great food; are taught useful life skills; and parents get to join a vibrant parent community.
It's so hard choosing the right place to send your baby (whatever their age) into the care of others. We started at a private centre before finding a place at Perry St. Here are the biggest differences we found: the deep experience and sense of calm that the staff bring; the beautiful and ever-changing spaces full of nature and craft and creation in a relatively small Centre; a sense of community and belonging as a Perry St family; and just a place where we're confident our Son can build healthy values and find his joys.
You don't know what you're missing - until you find it elsewhere...at Perry St. My oldest went to another local childcare, which I thought was pretty good. However my younger son has been at Perry St for over a year now and we are so delighted and grateful that he is there. The educators are amazing and caring, with low turnover (many have been there for 10yrs+). The outdoor spaces are beautiful and stimulating. Communication by management and the committee have always been frequent, transparent and reassuring, in particular during Covid-19. Just a wonderful community to be a part of.
We love Perry St as does our daughter. The wonderful caring staff are amazing and most of them have been there for quite some time. The food is fantastic and the outdoor space is lovely with chickens and plants and herbs growing. The educators and centre staff are responsive and caring and always open to any questions. I can highly recommend.

We love the sense of community, the diversity and dedication of the carers, the wonderful food fed to our son, and the education on our First Nations people. We are happy to have gotten our son into the centre.
All three of our children have been to Perry Street, each of whom really looks forward to spending their day there.
It’s a fantastic (community based / not for profit) environment with stable and caring staff.

We joined Perry Street last year in the 3&4 year old room and have been very impressed with the quality of staff, the lovely garden and nature play, the food is great and we've made new friends in the community too. Our six month old will join next year as well and I couldn't' think of anywhere else that I trust the staff more to look after our kids.
