Why we chose Perry St Childcare & kindergarten. Was we were impressed instantly with homely and welcoming feeling on our first visit. We were looking for a small community family centre. The educators have always been professional as well as caring and understanding. The positive attitude of the staff has assisted in our little girl to blossom and achieve her personal goals. I believe the big contributor to her achievements is the amazing outdoor play areas. The natural habitat of the surroundings gardens and chickens. The team at Perry street are always supportive and approachable.Thank you so much.

I feel so lucky to be able to send both my children to Perry Street. The kids spend so much time playing outside in the bush gardens, in the sand pits and with the chickens - it's so great! The staff are lovely and have very little turn over - most have been there for several years. One of the reason we moved our children to Perry St is because the centre provides both 3 and 4 yo kindergarten programs. There is also great environmental and indigenous cultural education throughout the age groups. The babies' room is also very caring and gentle, my daughter is always happy to be left there - a great relief! The centre Director is very skilled, long term child care professional who has been involved in broader policy work to improve the industry. She obviously deeply cares about this centre, its staff and the kids! There are multiple community events that the centre runs that we enjoy attending. This extra level of work and commitment makes for a very happy community around the centre which I really appreciate.

You don't know what you're missing - until you find it elsewhere...at Perry St. My oldest went to another local childcare, which I thought was pretty good. However my younger son has been at Perry St for over a year now and we are so delighted and grateful that he is there. The educators are amazing and caring, with low turnover (many have been there for 10yrs+).  The outdoor spaces are beautiful and stimulating. Communication by management and the committee have always been frequent, transparent and reassuring, in particular during Covid-19. Just a wonderful community to be a part of.

A wonderful centre, with such great staff. Have enjoyed bringing my children here from day 1. They make great friends; are fed great food; are taught useful life skills; and parents get to join a vibrant parent community.

My children love attending Perry St and we love being involved with this unique community-based centre.  The outdoor gardens are what first caught our attention when visiting the centre - they are beautiful and our kids have an absolute blast exploring in the gardens, tending to the chickens, and creating all sorts of things in the learning spaces that are set up and changed regularly.

The staff are amazing teachers and very responsive to the needs and interests of the children.  Most staff have been at Perry St for many years, making it have a family feel, and we feel very lucky that our kids are being educated by such experienced and caring people. The food is delicious too!
