Goodstart Early Learning Eltham

Ok where do I start.. First, accident reports were given to parents days after it occurred and it was after us demanding it, all stated child at fault although no one seemed to "witness" it. Staff seem very unhappy, unfriendly, uncaring. My son was told he wasn't able to bring a birthday cake, but other children could. iPad used at 9 am unsupervised. Room setup was so boring, always the same old toys every day for weeks, activities tables were not ready at 9 am (probably why they have an iPad instead). The supposedly daily update sent to parents became weekly update if you're lucky. And when your child barely had any artwork/photos, they would blame them for being disinterested. My son lasted less than 3 months. Please go elsewhere, your children will learn NOTHING here. Well, except how to be rude and how to watch an iPad.

One star too many!

Our little family has had three children go through this centre.  At all times we felt assured that the care was there, the love for our kidlets was never waivered... it doesn't take much for a child to wander from eyes but come on ... they are kids.  Excellent centre, would highly recommend.

Not impressed! On my daughters first day, I found her outside (where 50% of the courtyard was in full sun) wearing no suncream or hat. Staff neglected to even take her hat out of her bag in the first place!
Also the center Director refused to take responsibility for ezi debit (the centres chosen direct debit agent) when they charged me multiple failpay and dishonour fines after the center organised childcare payments to come out on the wrong day.

Some staff are lovely, and we were very happy with everything during orientation. However, my experiences with Goodstart Early Learning are not positive. Allowing toddlers to play unprotected in the sun is simply not excusable, and displaying terrible business ethics resulting in customers being fined for no reason, and then not taking responsibility, is pretty bad too!

If you want your child to be unsupervised,  allowed to escape into the street or get salmonella poisoning, just send them here.

Goodstart Early Learning Eltham is situated minutes away from Eltham Town, the 'hub' of Eltham.  We are surrounded by beautiful native trees and are across the road from natural parkland. 

Our centre staff are a mixture of ages and all bring their own unique talents to the centre each day.  Most of the staff have been at the centre for many years and have built many lasting relationships within the community.  We are fortunate to have many families at the centre who have returned with each new addition, enabling us to create a real sense of family here.
