Still the same principal as when I went there, handled bullying so poorly to the point the principal told my friends that I was a liar after sending me back to class. I imagine not much has changed since then.
Bullying is a serious issue that this school appears to have an issue with appropriatley addressing in a way that doesn't permit it to continue instead of just putting on a bandaid that lasts less than a month.
Great school.
I went to Armadale Primary School from 1995-2002 and I have nothing but the fondest memories. From Mrs Frankel, to Robin, to Mrs Rodder and Ms Uncles... I received a fantastic education not just academically, but holistically (sport, arts, social, language etc). It set me up for life. Honestly, if I could give it more stars I would. Also, very much appreciate that my tile is still at the Fairfax circle, that real estate in 2024 must be worth a small fortune. Thank you.
Incredible dedicated staff! My girls are very happy here.
terrible learnt nothing but swear words from teachers
Terrible school! Kids here were always bullied me every single day and the teachers did absolutely nothing about it when they were notified, so I moved schools. I only learned to be bored here and learnt very minimal things, practically nothing at all. Especially in Italian, I learnt nothing but one word and the teacher (Ms Vita) was always not paying attention to any of the work we were doing and she would just hand us work and call it a day. The teachers here did not pay much attention and interest in teaching kids or taking care of them like Mr Cracknell would target different students and mistreat them. How ever, the OOSH before care and after school care members Ben and Trevor we’re always very polite and supportive of students so that program was fairly good and helpful to parents. Overall, I strongly do NOT recommend sending your kids here and if you are considering it please do not.
I went here around 10 or so years ago, I didn't have the best experience due to many instances of bullying within the year level. Most of the kids came from troubled backgrounds so I do not entirely hold this against the school although I think the bullying wasn't taken care of as well as it could have been. My younger siblings seemed to have had a somewhat better experience as their year levels were kinder. Most of the teachers were lovely and supportive and seemed to enjoy their job as teachers genuinely, particularly Robin, Ms Wallace, Ms Evens and Ms Curuso (from my experience although I am sure there are many other teachers). Similarly, this school has a fantastic after-care and before-care program run by super excellent staff. Although I may not have had the best experience, if the school was able to work through cases of bullying better (although a difficult task) I feel like this is a good school to send your kids to.
Okay so, may I add they got rid of my bad review. This school is terrible! I learned basicly nothing here, exept how to be bored. This is a school I do not reccomend.
EDIT: Everyone in OOOSH was nice, but every other teacher was terrible. One of them told me to "shut up" I was discusted by this school. I am very happy I left it, sorry if you are trapped here.
