Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Oakleigh South - Moresby Street is located in a safe and quiet residential area close to schools and local shops and community services. Our Vision is for our children to develop a sense of respect and cultural diversity and to feel happy, loved, safe and secure in their surroundings. We believe in providing the best possible care and education to each child and ensure that all children are supported and guided through the first five years of their life. Our educators aim to provide a nurturing and engaging care environment through our learning programs that are provided in all rooms that will support each child through play based learning. They scaffold children during the learning process to provide support and encouragement whilst ensuring your child feels comfortable in the care environment Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool – we provide play-based educational programs which reflect the Early Years Learning Framework. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning. Outside, we have two areas both with age appropriate play spaces and equipment. We have lots of natural elements for the children to explore; sandpit, mud kitchen, worm farm, veggie patch, dry creek bed, water and trees. Each week we carefully plan experiences for the children to support their development and learning outcomes. Our teachers will write observations about each child and use a range of tools including app based assessments to write a summary for you about where your child is at three times per year. You and your child’s teacher will meet to discuss the summary and set goals for your child together. We believe this partnership in working together will support your child’s sense of belonging to grow and develop into a confident, healthy, happy child. Our centre is small and family orientated and we welcome parent input and participation at all times. Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family events enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication.
