As any parent would be, sending my son off to child care for the first time, i was very anxious about him settling in. Especially during covid and being at home, he had become extra attached. I prepared and planned everything I could to make the transition as easy as I could for the both of us. Seeing how the educators have taken care and applying their professional experiences in the care and transition of my son has given me full confidence of leaving my son their and not having to worry if he was ok. Denise, the centre manager, despite the challenges of covid and busyness of reopening the centre to the public in the middle of a centre merge, always had the time to ensure the ease of his orientation and his eventual start. There was always time made to communicate. The educators in the toddler room may seem to be just doing their job as they say, but I feel they truly have gone above and beyond with making sure our son was happy and settled. Denise, Hai, Thuy, Wendy and Christina from the toddler room have eased the worries of one anxious mother. I highly recommend this centre and couldn't praise and thank the team enough.

This is a wonderful centre and I have been very happy with my twins attending the toddler room. I am always impressed by the sense of order and professionalism of the well run centre.  Here, I am always greeted on drop off with the carers ready to guide my twins into an activity to distract them.  It is a relief to know that while they are away from me that they are in a safe, bright and spacious environment surrounded by responsible and attentive carers.  My twins have thrived since attending the centre and their language and social skills have greatly improved.  It's nice to hear them constantly singing songs and talking about things they learn after their day in care.  I always look forward to seeing their artwork that keeps to appearing in their bag.  Regretfully, we will soon have to leave due to moving house as we have been so spoilt by the high quality of care at the Springvale centre.  We will miss them very much!

Goodstart Springvale South is a culturally diverse service in terms of educators, children and families. We offer parking so that you are off busy Springvale Road and we have a bus stop right outside our door. Our service has a long-standing team who are committed to providing the best possible outcomes for all children.

We provide a program that includes language, literacy, maths, imaginative play, physical play, science and social emotional play. Our program is both structured and child led to enable all children the opportunity to participate in activities that interest them. We also value parent input and feedback, encouraging this as it is such an important part of your child’s development.

Our service has two outdoor areas that children use to develop their physical skills. We have one for our nursery children and the other is for our two to five year old children. Our 'big yard' provides children the opportunity to play with children of different ages, and at times, their siblings. Our educators use outdoor time to implement activities that allow children to develop physically, socially, and emotionally through play. A combination of intentional teaching and free play stimulates children’s curiosity for learning and supporting their interests.

We have two kindergarten teachers at our service offering a four year old program and a three year old program. These programs ensure that children are ready to face the new world of school.
