Great team here
Always a happy environment
When we first started looking into daycare for our daughter and visited many different centres, we found that Patterson Lakes World of Learning stood out above the rest. Everything about this daycare impressed us, from the educators, facilities, environment, the meals provided and the safety of the children. The educators are so wonderful and friendly, and they have really made us feel like a part of their community. I also love that I am constantly updated through the app of what my daughter has done for the day. I highly recommend Patterson Lakes World of Learning, our daughter is thriving here as they go above and beyond for her, and we are so grateful to the WOL team for providing her with such amazing care, thank you!
We've attended several daycare centers in the area but we stuck to Patterson Lakes WOL. Our girls like it here. Educators are great and very supportive with their extra needs.
Excellent place for my little one :)
Our daughter has been attending this childcare for almost a year now, and absolutely loves it! The carers are all so attentive and warming on arrival and we get many updates on the app of what an amazing day she has had. We feel safe dropping her off here and know she always has an amazing day with so many different activities provided. She has learnt so much over the past year and has made many great connections with a lot of the wonderful carers and children 🩷
My families experience at World or learning Patterson Lakes has been excellent!
Our daughter loves all her teachers and the friends she has made at the centre.
The centre is welcoming and makes sure you and your child are comfortable and cared for the moment you enrol.
We moved our son here after he became very introverted at his previous centre. We have been amazed at his quick progress. He is always so happy to go, has the best time, and has made a lovely group of friends. We also send our youngest here and the care in the babies room is amazing. All of the educators know each child individually and cater to any needs they may have. The centre uses the Xplor app to update parents throughout the day on all of your child’s movements which is really nice to see. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for compassionate care for their little ones. We feel very lucky to have found Patterson Lakes World of Learning ☺️
My daughter attended this childcare in mid-2021, and initially, it was ok. The first day was concerning. I picked her up, and she was wearing a singlet, jumpsuit and jumper on a hot Summer day when staff were wearing a tee shirt and shorts. My daughter was roughly 18m at the time and could not communicate; she was hot or take off layers. She seemed visibly stressed when I picked her up, which was upsetting. I've raised this with management, and it hasn't happened again. Over the next year and a half, the childcare went downhill.
They constantly struggled to manage staff ratios (under or overstaffed). They had a program and regularly updated the app so parents could see what their child was doing during the day but after a while the app was not being updated and the children would play with no structure to their day and watch TV.
When the regular staff started to leave and work closer to home, I would pick up my daughter, and the kids would watch TV while the carer cleaned up the room. This was disappointing as I was paying for childcare, not for the carer to sit the kids in front of a screen.
The outdoor area is tiny and only slightly covered in the shade, this means the children can't play when the weather is too hot/ raining. After collecting my kid we would come home and she would have a lot of energy from being inside most of the day (small space in Kindy room).
The facility only has 2 toilets for the kindergarten and toddler rooms. This made toilet training during the day difficult, as the area wasn't easily accessible due to high usage. Parking can also be an issue during peak hour traffic on the main road.
UPDATE: New management is improving the hiring process and the program, which is a relief for new daycare clients.
My daughter started attending in the babies room and is now in the toddler room. She settled in quickly and is happy at the centre, the staff are great and I know she is well cared for.
