Hello, my name is Katie Sinclair and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Newtown. I have been working in the industry for 13 years; 9 years at this Centre in which I started off as Assistant Director. I then became Director in 2015.
My passion is Early Childhood education and making sure the children at our centre develop to their full potential.
Early Childhood education is such a vital part of the child’s wellbeing and have learnt this being a mum of three young girls and one boy on the way, and believe that the educators will let them develop the tools they need to grow into strong social and emotional human beings.
The most important thing for me is the interactions that happen on a daily basis between educators and children, here at Goodstart Newtown we are a family and make sure you feel comfortable leaving your child in our hands.

Couldn't rate the staff higher at this center. I have found the staff to be so invested, and to really tale the time to get to know my child. They have made the transition so easy, and put my mind at rest. My child has a beautiful connection with all staff that work with him.
My son has been attending for the past 6 months, he started at 1 year of age. The educators he has had have all been excellent, and have really helped and supported him to transition into daycare. He now loves going, and I also like the updates we get throughout the day.
My son went to Goodstart for only 6 months, but he had a wonderful time and teachers were amazing with him! Thanks
My two children have attended Goodstart Newtown since they were in Nursery all the way through to 4 year old kindergarten, and I have nothing but positive things to say about the centre. The staff are wonderful, caring and supportive. The constant educational and engaging activities that are tailored to the particular interests of the children are fantastic to witness, and they come home bursting with excitement about things they have learnt. There’s a strong focus on inclusion, sustainability and the environment which is particularly important.
The educators are invested in our sons growth, development and quality of life. The photos and videos we receive during the day are the highlight of our work day. I can't imagine sending our little guy anywhere else.
My little boy (3) has been going 3 days a week since the beginning of 2019, he absolutely loves it!
At the start he didn't like the drop offs, but the teachers/carers were so great with him and would always call me to tell me he was okay! It would only ever take a few minutes for them to call and say he's off playing and happy!
I now have to chase him around the yard most pickups as he never wants to leave!
My child is so incredibly happy at Goodstart Newtown - he adores the educators and has thrived under their genuine love and care. We couldn’t be more thrilled with our choice!
Great place and carers.
We started at Goodstart in the beg. 2019 and we lucky enough to get a full time spot for 2 kids.
The carers are really great - especially with the older toddler.
The centre itself is a little dated - but has all the facilities (including food, toilets for the kids and a large outdoor play area)
Overall really happy with this childcare :)
