Parent Reviews
Very good facility and the staff and management very good and very flexible.
This is a wonderful daycare centre. Staff and management are always open for a chat and if any issues arise it gets resolved very quickly. I really like all of the extra activities and opportunities they offer. Inclusions, theme days and the like.
My daughter loves it here, she is constantly learning new things and has made a lot of good little friends.
My daughter has been attending this centre for almost 18 months now and she absolutely loves it! She is close with all of the staff that work with her.
All of the staff are lovely and I always know that my girl is very well cared for. I highly recommend this centre.
We had our baby enrolled in the centre from February 2022 until end of June 2022 and considered for a while whether to post a review or not. In the end we decided to share our experience and enable others to make informed decisions about where to send their children.
We really like Fev as the lead educator in the babies room, she is fantastic, however I found some other staff disengaged and got the feeling that staff at the centre were overwhelmed and struggling to adequately care for the children. It seemed like a stressful environment compared to the centre we had in QLD and the Montessori centre in Maddingly that is available for older children. I also noticed a negative change in my childs demenour after attending daycare, in excess of what I would expect for his age, his usual happy self was gone. I highly suspect that he had at times been left to cry and get excessively worked up/distressed, this was based on observations at collection where I observed him in this state before I knocked on the door. We have since moved to Future daycare in Bacchus Marsh and have found that even though the centre is new, the environment is much more loving and calming. Since taking my child out of Genius and moving him to Future he has returned to his usual happy self. I would caution people from enrolling their children here, there are long wait lists at some other centres in the area, there is a reason for this.
I have found the staff to be friendly, caring and attentive. The management has changed a little over the past 18 months, but communication with me has still remained excellent. The staff have been welcoming and very attentive to both my children's needs. My youngest had lots of orientation and it took a while for her to settle in and the staff were very helpful and allowed us to gradually ease her in with weeks of regular orientation until she was comfortable. My son has serveve anaphylaxis and this was our biggest concern entering childcare. The centre has has regular meetings with myself and the staff including the chef. We have together gone through menus, the kitchen and pantry to ensure minimal risk of exposure. The staff have been very understanding and comforting regarding his allergy and my anxiety around it, which has made the process alot easier. Thank you genius 🙂
My son has been attending for 3 years now. He has made such a great connection with the kids and educators. All his teachers are lovely and are conscious of his quirky personality. Their incident procedure is great, and the few times we’ve had incidents, they have been reported and followed up in a timely and professional manner.
I love knowing that he eats really well on his “school” days, and most importantly, he loves attending!
My daughter has been at Genius Maddingley for 18 months and it has been a great experience for us both so far. At first I was hesitant to anyone looking after her besides family but it didn’t take long before I felt confident that she was safe and well cared for. She is now 3 and tells me she loves playing and climbing outside with her friends (that she has made there)!
The educators are all very friendly and knowledgeable and my daughter has developed great relationships with them. Their chef is relatively new and she makes yummy nutritious meals for the children and when my daughter has her fussy days they provide an alternative choice.
Gemma, the centre manager is lovely and supportive of my needs and is very responsive to emails & phone calls. Thanks for all you do for our family! :)
I love when my daughter comes home and tells us about her day, what she did, who she played with. While drop off's have been difficult at times, I know she always has fun!
My son started childcare at 4 months old and it's been a stressful time to find the right place for him and us, but with Fev it's been love at first sight, since first time we met her she showed so much care and attention for our boy that we had no doubt this is the right place for us. It's now 7 months we are enrolled and we been able to know better all the other educators, they always have a smile, a good word and care for my boy.
My little girl started when she was still in her hip dysplasia brace, the girls have been nothing but amazing and amity knows them all by name and loves them all like family, i get daily photos and videos and they caught her first steps for me when she was finally brace free, which they also took the time to help her with
