Goodstart Early Learning Drouin

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Drouin is located in a country town setting in West Gippsland, 90kms east of Melbourne. The centre is close to the main street and shops as well as a train station, bus stop and schools. Inside, all of the rooms  - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.   Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre. Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. Our two yards have sandpits, swings, a mud pit, vege patch, worm farm, bark pits, bike track, dry creek bed and heaps of shade. We also have a cook on premises five days a week and we provide breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. The meals that we provide are healthy and nutritious and we also cater for children who have allergies to certain foods. A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience.  We strive to work in partnership with families to build strong community members in an interactive learning environment.   Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.   Come in and see for yourself how we can help give your child the best start in life – and give you peace of mind!
