Parent Reviews
Mount Eliza North Primary School is a hidden gem in our community - a small school in a bushland setting. As a parent of two children attending this school, I couldn't be happier with our experience.
The caring and dedicated teachers are the heart of this school. They go above and beyond to ensure each child feels supported and encouraged in their learning journey. The small school size allows for a more personalised approach to education, where no child gets lost in the crowd.
What really sets Mount Eliza North apart is its strong focus on community. The school actively involves local residents and businesses, with events such as the annual art show, creating a warm, village-like atmosphere that extends beyond the classroom walls. This approach helps our children feel connected to their community and develops a sense of belonging.
If you're looking for a primary school that combines academic excellence with a nurturing environment and strong community ties, Mount Eliza North is the perfect choice. It's a place where children thrive and families feel welcome.
While writing a negative review, it's important to remain respectful and constructive. Here’s a draft for a 0-star review of Mount Eliza Primary School:
---
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Mount Eliza Primary School. The administration is unresponsive and unprofessional, often ignoring parent concerns. The teaching quality varies significantly, with some teachers lacking the necessary skills and enthusiasm to engage students effectively. Additionally, the facilities are outdated and poorly maintained, which impacts the overall learning environment. I do not recommend this school to any parents looking for a supportive and high-quality education for their children.

This school sucks specially the year 6 teacher miss shnider she cold me gay in front of my hole class when I’m not even gay she would scream at me for no reason and send me out the class room just for fun and don’t get me started on the school nurse my brother got hit in the head with a golf club and there was Blud all over him and she said he will be fine my parents come to pick him up and then send him straight to the hospital and he had to get stitches on his head and that’s not it I fell off a 3m high fence onto concrete and couldn’t move my legs and she said I was fine my parents got home and took me to a Physio to see if I was ok and I had to wear 2 moon boots and a weal chair for 1 and a half months worst school
I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with mt Eliza north Primary School. From the very beginning, the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. The administration is unresponsive and unhelpful, making even basic communication a struggle. Emails and phone calls often go unanswered, leaving parents in the dark about important matters.
The teachers, while a few are dedicated, mostly seem disinterested and overwhelmed. There is a severe lack of individual attention, and my child’s academic progress has suffered as a result. It is heartbreaking to see my child lose enthusiasm for learning because of the chaotic and uninspiring environment.
The facilities are outdated and poorly maintained. The classrooms are overcrowded, and basic supplies are often lacking. The playground equipment is in disrepair, posing safety hazards that seem to go ignored by the staff.
Moreover, there is a disturbing lack of focus on student well-being. Bullying is rampant, and the school administration has failed to take effective action despite numerous complaints. This creates an unsafe and unhealthy environment for all students.
Overall, mt Eliza north Primary School has been a profoundly disappointing experience. I strongly urge other parents to consider alternative options for their children’s education. This school is failing its students in every possible way.
what a school
it was good but this one teacher cough cough (miss minougue) is so annoying when she mimics kids and she calls them names that stick with them forever and she says that its "advice" good thing she got fired
They reach quite well but don't have a good bullying system
The teachers didn't really care that much about bullying and outside of teaching did not know what they were doing
Can't even begin to describe how my experience at this school has been. In the first few years, sure the teachers are nice and you have a great time. However, it turns bad in the last year or two. Would not recommend for a thousand reasons. Toilet facilities exist but you would wish they didn't. Don't have any choice in anything we do. The school website completely lies about having "Student Agency", we get none. You might have one subject where you get to choose what you do, but that is quickly overridden by the teachers. MENPS gets two stars because the school grounds are okay, much better than other schools in the area.
Bullying is a problem here, it has been forever. Teachers simply do not care that kids get bullied about all sorts of things. Any bad things can be said and done to students, and staff will just turn a blind eye and pretend nothing has happened.
Mental health is bad too, no one seems to care about anything that happens here, one year 6 class in 2022 got one of the best teachers available in the beginning 7 weeks, then was replaced by a maximum year 3 teacher who simply could not deal with the more mature year sixes. This was initially intended to only happen for about 4 months or so, but it quickly extended into the whole rest of the year. The issue stemmed from the principal moving to a different school to "help out", and the leadership system moving up. However, when the principal returned, an assistant principal left to go "try out" a new higher up role at a different school, which was great because it meant that class still had that year 3 teacher. It was clear that this was simply for the money, and no one cared about the two strongly worded letters delivered from someone in that class. Plus a bunch more small messages.
I'm glad to have graduated from here. Didn't want to stay any longer. Staff from MENPS, you may see my name and remember who I am. Just remember that I tried to warn you. I sent letters. I never got a response. You didn’t fix the problem. You treated me like I was a 10 year old who didn’t know anything. That is why this review is going up.
Terrable my child is running home crying from the teachers. One time he came running back because his teacher was calling him names and excluding him from classroom activity’s
