Ophelia Raisey

My name is Ophelia Raisey, but I preferred to be called Phe. I am originally from New Zealand, but have lived in Perth since 2012.

I have been in the Early Education sector in particular Jellybeans Wembley since mid-2014. I started as a trainee educator in the Nursery room working towards my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. I then strived to complete my Diploma which then lead to me being a Lead Educator in the Toddler room. Not long after I was then promoted to Assistant Centre Manager, and then Centre Manager.

Since being in the managerial role I have been lucky enough to assist other centres within G8 Education here in Perth; to assist with their centre’s Education Leader and supporting them with the centre programming, and much more to ensure they are meeting the requirements of the National Quality Standards.

It is my personal philosophy for all children and families to feel safe secure and supported through-out their time here at Jellybeans Wembley. I believe that life is all about gaining knowledge and sharing what we have learned with others. I feel that education is a lifelong process and the building blocks of learning are developed in the early stages of life. I believe that as an early childhood educator I am responsible for providing infants, toddlers and young children with positive learning experiences. I aim to model respect, patience, and care for children and adults I come in contact with. Children have the right to have their needs met and receive the proper education while in the care of their caregivers.

My favourite part about Jellybeans Wembley is the relationship myself and all the educators have with all the families and children who attend the centre. All of us here at Jellybeans Wembley are dedicated to giving your child the best education possible in their earliest years of life. We are all passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated about building and maintaining lasting relationships with the children and families that attend our centre. We work closely with all of our families to ensure each child’s culture and family life is included in our centre.
