MEET OUR SERVICE MANAGER My name is Emma and I have over 17 years of experience in the early childhood sector. I hold my Diploma in Children’s Services and am currently studying my Bachelor of Education – Early Childhood. For the last 5 years I have worked as a Centre/ Service Manager and before that I was Operations Manager for the play and recreation area at PMH and the now Perth Children’s Hospital. ​ For the majority of 2019 I lived in India with my husband as we explored the culture and all the food! I believe in a self-guided programme for the children in my care; children are allowed to express themselves in different ways as they develop their own character. By allowing children to engage in meaningful learning practices, this approach helps to grow a love of learning, boosts early education and prepares children for school enthusiasm. I believe that children are capable individuals of the community and the first five years are the most important. It is my responsibility to work in partnership with children and base the programme around their interest and needs.
