Our Rooms & Child Grouping

At OrganiKids, we understand that every child and every group dynamic is unique — and so is the way we structure our rooms. We offer flexible child grouping that reflects both the individual needs of our children and the real-time rhythms of the day.

While we generally group children into the following age ranges:

• 0–2 years
• 2–3 years
• 3–6 years

—we also strongly believe in the value of family-style and mixed-age groupings. Depending on factors such as child preferences, sibling and cousin relationships, emotional energy in the space, and our enrolled family groupings, we may blend age groups to foster stronger peer connections, mentorship, and a more home-like environment.

This flexible approach supports:

• Secure attachments with familiar educators and peers
• Social and emotional learning through peer modelling
• Continuity of care for children transitioning between age groups
• A natural, community-like feel that mirrors the dynamics of a big family

Whether in age-based rooms or mixed-age spaces, our environments are carefully designed to support each child’s stage of development, interests, and individual learning journey.

Our Educators – The Heart of OrganiKids

The OrganiKids team is made up of seven dedicated early childhood professionals, each bringing warmth, experience, and passion to our learning community. Together, we hold over 50 years of combined experience in the early childhood sector, with team members celebrating between 1 and 13 years of service at OrganiKids in 2025.

We are incredibly proud of the rich cultural tapestry that makes up our team, with educators of Australian, English, Irish, Māori, Nepalese, and Bhutanese heritage. This diversity is reflected not only in our curriculum and celebrations but in the inclusive, respectful relationships we build with children and families every day.

All educators either hold or are actively working towards an approved early childhood qualification, including Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. We are a collaborative, like-minded, and gentle team who believe deeply in the power of play-based learning, responsive caregiving, and fostering a true sense of belonging for every child.
