My name is Ivanka and I am the Director of Goodstart Early Learning Myaree. I have worked in education for many years, starting as a Secondary English Teacher and transitioning to Early Childhood Education. After teaching secondary students, I realised how important it was to engender a love of learning in the early years, in order to provide children with the foundation needed to succeed throughout their school and adult lives. This is why I decided to make the transition to early years learning.
I have a Master of Early Childhood Education, in addition to a Master of Special Education and Literature. As a life-long learner, I value continued learning and professional development to keep up with the latest teaching and learning practices in play-based education. I am passionate about education in the Foundation Years because I believe it is the most important phase of child development. I am a firm advocate of play-based learning and creating an atmosphere where children feel safe, welcomed and at home. My focus is always centred on the welfare, wellbeing and happiness of your child.
I am excited to be a part of your child’s education and care. I am also looking forward to working with you to ensure the development of positive communication and relationships. My door is always open to parents and I am happy to talk about any concerns or ideas you have regarding your child. As you are your child’s first teacher, your ideas are invaluable.
