The Children's Garden

Since my initial visit at the Children's Garden, over 2 years ago now, I have never once questioned my decision to send my son here. The children's Garden truly is a home away from home for him and the warm bond he shares with each of his educators, as well as his peers (and lets not forget the bunnies and chickens), is reflected in the  animated tales he shares on our journey home when asked 'what did you do today'?

He has thrived in the environment which makes the most of its indoor / outdoor facilities (more-so outdoor which he LOVES ) and whenever I am complimented on my son's speech or progress, I will always acknowledge the role  that the Educators at The Children's Garden play in that.

As with any early childhood education facility our experience has not come without its challenges. For a time, my son was on the  receiving  end of bites from one of his peers. Naturally, this situation resulted in many tears (my son's, mine and the biters  mum - I'm not sure which of us was more upset) but we worked with the Children's Garden to put an action plan in place. Both children were spoken to about the incidents and how best to manage themselves and their emotions at such times,  the issue was raised with the staff in order that the children could be monitored more closely, the children were  separated for a time, and then monitored for a time after that, and there has not been an incident in months. During that period of resolution, myself and my husband, as well as the other parents, were looped in to all progress. My many calls to the centre manager, Rachael, were met with patient, understanding  assurances and the team worked with all of us ensure a positive outcome for both children.

I understand that every centre will not be the right fit for every child, but for us, The Children's Garden cannot be faulted -  I couldn't recommend it any higher and am so grateful I found this gem!

This centre is the personification of quality Early Childhood. A contemporary  evidence based curriculum which is centred  around where your child is at in their learning journey.. Staff who not only have the relevant training and education but more importantly demonstrate the values and philosophy of the centre . The environment is a space which invites discovery and the  opportunity for children to explore holistically whilst being supported and encouraged.
It really is second to none

After searching for months we feel so fortunate to have found this little school. We joined The Childrens Garden after coming out of a local Family Daycare setting. It was the best move we could have made. Our 3 year old daughter has grown and developed so much in her time there so far, she comes home excited, happy and amazes my husband and I with how much her over all knowledge and development has expanded. Geri and her team are outstanding educators. They show nothing but love, support and a safe space for their students. I couldn't recommend this center highly enough for anyone considering it. Positive interactions, gentle corrections and rigor make this the Early Learning Centre of dreams.

The warm, creative, nurturing environment which The Childrens Garden has created is amazing. There is so much option / and activities for growth. In so many different and diverse areas!

Thank you to the educators, directors and staff at the centre for every smile you put on my daughters face, and for teaching her to be confident, friendly and caring. Emma loves every minute of it, and we saw her rapidly develop socially and cognitively through her daily experiences. We are hoping that our younger son will also have the chance to experience the magic that is TCG when he is old enough.

This is the best Early Learning School I have come across. We are originally from Europe and this centre surpasses all others we’ve encountered over the years. The leaders of this learning programme have a real understanding of what children need. They educate in the manner best for the individual child. My children’s personalities have varied greatly and the educators have always supported them to the highest standard.

I highly recommend The Childrens Garden for your child's care. They are communicative, friendly, flexible and excellent carers and educators of our precious little ones. My children have loved their time at TCG over the past 8 years. My school aged daughter who no longer attends, still enjoys visiting The Childrens Garden to pick up her younger brother.

The educators speak to the children in a fair respective manner. They embrace a home from home feeling with the aroma of lunch flowing from the kitchen, big sofas for cuddling and open doors for free exploration.

Quite different from many child care centers I've seen.  This one is not "sterile" and kids are encouraged to play in the dirt and handle the animals.  The staff appeared young but very dedicated.  Expect your kids to come home dirty, but eager to go again.
