Our team 

The quality of our centre is underpinned by the quality of our people. At the heart of the centre is the longstanding team of educators with some staff being at the centre for over 5 years.  

This provides for wonderful ongoing relationships with children and families, and we’re so lucky to see many siblings return, even years later! 

Majority of our educators are diploma trained or working towards a diploma qualification. We have two fully qualified Early Childhood Teachers with three other staff also on their way to being qualified. 

We know each child is an individual with unique talents and interests. Our team is passionate about their profession and truly wants your child to succeed in discovering their identity as confident, happy, and resilient learners. Parents receive daily updates and photos detailing their child's learning and development from our easy to use parent app. 

Partnering with families

Relationships are key to delivering the best possible learning opportunities for your child. Our Educators and teachers develop strong bonds with the children and their families. We view a child's early education as an extension of the learning occurring at home. Therefore,  we believe a successful early learning journey needs a good partnership. We pride ourselves on working together with our families to achieve the best possible outcomes for their child. We welcome your involvement and that Involvement will look different for different families.

Exploring the community 

We offer a range of experiences to help children learn about their local community. We often have visits from nursing home, ambulance services and the local school to help expand the children’s learning. We also have excursions to our local park and local primary school to assist our Kindergarten/ Preschool children with their transition to ‘big school’. 

Meet the Centre Manager - Jessica Buck

I started working in early learning in 2007. I joined the team at Buggles Spearwood in 2022. I hold a Diploma in Children’s services and am currently working towards my Bachelor of Education (0-12).

I love helping children learn new things, and watching that lightbulb moment happen in real life. It is so fulfilling to know that I had a part in that moment, and that what I do everyday makes such a difference to our children’s lives.

I have learnt that children are curious, resilient, and fun! I believe in learning through doing. It is our responsibility as educators to provide a wide range of experiences, to allow children to develop their skills and knowledge at their own pace.

We have a wealth of knowledge and experience as educators, through our combined training and work experiences. We love sharing our knowledge and supporting families through transitions and milestones all the way through until children start school. The social aspect of early childhood centres cannot be replicated at home. Children learn from their peers, always watching and taking things in. Early learning provides valuable opportunities to interact with children of different ages, to learn from each other as they play.

Our amazing team are friendly, warm and always happy to help. We have many educators that have been at the centre over 5 years. We have multiple bilingual educators who are able to support children by communicating in their home languages. Our educators are dedicated, passionate and they always put children’s well-being first.

We believe in being honest and having open lines of communication with all families. We are available to all families when they need support, a quick chat or some advice on a tough situation. We have a grab’n’go breakfast available every day, as we know families often put themselves last in the morning rush, and it is important to take care of themselves too!
