Goodstart Early Learning East Bunbury

I have a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Certificate in Community Services. I have been in the childcare industry for 11years and have been working within Goodstart services for 10 of those years, my personal visions and aspirations align closely with those of Goodstart’s.

I am a mother to four wonderful children, after welcoming my first child, I changed my ways of thinking about early childhood education, and in my journey as a child care educator, considering what I wanted for my child and how this could relate to expectations and needs of other new parents looking for care for their children. As my family grew so did my passion for ensuring I gave everything I could to children and families in my care and supporting vulnerable families and children feel included and a part of a community and to build a sense of belonging during their journeys here at the centre.

I aim to lead my team in a way that ensures we continuously reflect and collaborate to move forward and upward in our journey here. As a leader it is my goal to support educators to slow down, and take in every moment, and interaction with the children and encourage them to use children’s voices to guide our practices, daily programs and learning spaces that are rich and meaningful.

Our children are our future and it is so important to me that as educators we empower them to drive and resource their own learning.
