Sparrow Early Learning runs centres in Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia, and if you’re lucky enough to have a Sparrow centre in your vicinity, then it’s definitely worth considering them for your preschooler. 

Sparrow offers a contemporary, play-based approach to Kindy, with the flexibility of long day care hours, and their Kindy programs are carefully designed to prepare each child for their big move to school.  

Instead of just focusing on reading and writing, Sparrow offers a holistic approach to school readiness. 

They know that social, emotional, physical and cognitive preparedness is so important for school-starters, and their Kindy programs are carefully tailored to support each child’s transition from early learning to Prep or Pre-primary. 

Sparrow’s Kindy programs are led by highly qualified Early Childhood Teachers and Educators (depending on which state you’re in), and they deliver thoughtful programs that cater to the current knowledge, needs and interests of each child in their care. 

There’s fun packed into every Kindy day, with school readiness skills practised along the way, and children get to enjoy their favourite activities, try new things, and have tasty and nutritious meals to fuel their bodies and brains.   

Your child’s time will definitely be well spent if you enrol them in a Sparrow Kindy program for 2024, and we’re happy to report that your money will be too! 

Thanks to the Australian government, the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) brings down the cost of Sparrow’s long day care fees for most families, and the Queensland and Victorian governments are also pretty generous when it comes to Kindy funding.  

In Queensland, you can get 15 hours of Free Kindy per week from 1 January 2024 (which equates to 40 weeks per year), as long as your child is at least four-years-old by 30 June in the year before they go to Prep.   

To see what you may end up paying (with the CCS applied to wrap-around care and Free Kindy applied to those 15 hours per week), it’s best to speak with your Sparrow centre direct.  

Meanwhile, if you live in Victoria you can get up to 15 hours of Free Kinder per week for your three- and four-year-old child.  

This will bring down your out-of-pocket fees, and again, it’s a great idea to speak to your Sparrow centre about what your Kindergarten costs may be.  

It’s also great to know that Sparrow’s Kindy enrolments are now open for 2024!
