The operating environment for childcare providers has been challenging for childcare providers, their educators and staff financially and operationally. Despite this, one childcare group wanting to lessen the financial stress on families using their services in the nation's capital and surrounds is offering families a discount on childcare fees during the ACT lockdown.
G8 Education, which runs eight early learning services in the ACT and three in Queanbeyan has decided to give families a 35 percent discount if they do keep their kids home during the lockdown.
G8 Education said they are proud to be the only major early education provider consistently providing fee discounts for families impacted by lockdowns, not only in the ACT but also currently in NSW and Victoria.
We always keep our doors open for families who require essential care, and have granted this discount for families who are currently enrolled at the centre but not attending.
As a business, our largest costs remain in place throughout lockdowns; however, we wanted to do our part throughout times that are difficult for many.
G8 Education CEO Gary Carroll commented “We understand that many families are doing it tough while lockdowns are in place and we immediately acted to relieve some of that burden.”
