The Gold Coast is a fantastic place to raise a family, and if you’re looking for childcare for your cherub, then you might like to put Reedy Creek Child Care on your radar!
This wonderful early learning centre has a lot to offer, and whether you’re new to the area, or have deep ties to the community, here are five reasons to consider Reedy Creek Child Care for your little learner:
1. There’s a genuine focus on families.
Reedy Creek Child Care Centre is a small, family-oriented service where you can play a meaningful role in your child’s learning, and form really great connections with educators and fellow families.
The centre is licensed for up to 43 children, so you’re getting a family day care feel, rather than a big centre experience, and Reedy Creek’s owner, Mary-Anne Hossack, is much more than just a businessperson.
She has 18 years’ experience running childcare centres with real passion, and Mary-Anne truly cares about the children entrusted to her and the great influence us parents have.
Mary-Anne says, “At Reedy Creek Child Care, we recognise Mum and/or Dad as the first teacher of their child, and partner with families to learn about their expectations, share information, and help little learners achieve their very best.
“We have an open-door policy, so families always feel welcome and included, and drop-offs and pick-ups are warm and friendly at Reedy Creek.”
2. They offer a calm and boutique-style environment.
Young children are very sensitive to adults’ cues, and a hectic environment can play havoc with their learning and development, but you don’t have to worry about this at Reedy Creek Child Care!
This centre is calm, with purposefully created learning experiences that support self-directed play, hands-on learning and collaborative play.
There are nice routines and curated experiences that help to prepare under-fives for school and life, and Mary-Anne says, “Our premises are modern, our materials are carefully selected, and our programs are specially designed to meet each child’s interests and needs.”
3. There’s no extra cost for this boutique-style childcare.
Reedy Creek’s daily fee is $142, and this makes them no more expensive than other standard childcare centres on the Gold Coast.
Once the Child Care Subsidy is factored in, Reedy Creek’s extra-special childcare becomes pretty affordable for most families, and instead of increasing their fees every second, Mary-Anne’s centre has kept its daily fee the same for quite some time.
The Queensland government’s kindergarten funding also has an excellent impact on out-of-pocket costs if you’re enrolling your child in Reedy Creek’s Kindergarten program.
As of 1 January this year, you’re entitled to 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year, of free kindy for your preschooler (provided they turn four by 30 June in the year they start kindergarten).
Mary-Anne says, “What this means in practice is that if your child attends our Kindergarten program for 30 hours a week, you can get 15 of those hours free, then pay for the remaining 15, with your Child Care Subsidy applied.”
4. There’s lunch provided every day.
If you’re time-poor and a bit starved for lunchbox inspiration, it’s great to know that Reedy Creek provides lunch on-site, and this food is included in your daily fee.
Mary-Anne explains that, “Meals are created fresh by our qualified Chef, to cater to the nutritional needs of different ages, and although under-fives can be picky eaters, we plate up a lunch menu that everybody loves.”
5. There’s room for twins and triplets.
If you’re a mum of multiples, it can be doubly or triply tricky to find vacancies for your children.
At other services, you might find that there’s a single vacancy, or split days, but we’re pleased to report that Reedy Creek Child Care holds a Gold Coast vacancy in reserve to make sure twins or triplets can be accommodated.
They currently have Monday to Friday vacancies for twins, and this is great news if you’re going back to work and need five full days of care.
Obviously, the positives outlined above are just the beginning!
There are many reasons to consider Reedy Creek Child Care for your toddler or preschooler, and the best way to learn more, is to enquire with the centre and arrange a tour with your child.
You can easily do this via the KindiCare app or website, and Mary-Anne and her team will be very happy to take you through their family-friendly, award-winning and generally amazing childcare offering!
