Community Kids McLaren Vale Early Education Centre is our State Winner in South Australia, with an Excellent KindiCare Rating of 9.4, and although many things make this centre amazing, consistency is the foundation of their success! 

Centre Manager, Christine Filsell says, “At Community Kids McLaren Vale, we pride ourselves on delivering consistent high-quality care and early education for children and families.” 

This means that although there’s always something new happening at the centre, and the learning spaces are dynamic, everyone can expect a rich curriculum, delivered in carefully designed environments.  

Christine explains that, “Our centre’s leading education programs are thoughtfully planned to support children’s lifelong learning and development, through innovative- and evidence-based teaching methods, and our learning environments are designed to engage and support children to discover, grow and learn.” 

Exploration, problem-solving and collaboration are all encouraged, and the children benefit from lots of open-ended creative play experiences. 

Whether they’re making sandcastles or mud pies, play dough dinosaurs or colourful collages, each day is guaranteed to be stimulating and meaningful, and musical play is a popular part of the program! 

There are regular dance parties at the centre, and in the Kindy Room, there’s an exciting new Rhythm and Movement for Self-Regulation (aka ‘RAMSR’) program that aims to support the preschoolers’ attentional skills, emotional regulation and executive function. 

There’s also great consistency when it comes to the educators.  

Community Kids McLaren Vale has a team of long-standing staff members, and everyone knows how important it is for children to see, play and interact with the same educators each day.  

Christine says, “We have a well-qualified, passionate and dedicated team of educators who build meaningful relationships, so that the children can learn, develop and thrive.” 

The team also takes care to connect with families on a consistent basis.  

They actively nurture great relationships, and these genuine partnerships add to the wonderful atmosphere at Community Kids McLaren Vale.  

The centre has a warm and homely feel that people sense as soon as they walk through the door, and families love how friendly, caring and accommodating the team are. 

Christine says, “Whether communication is happening in person, over the phone or online, our families always appreciate how willing our staff members are to have a conversation about their child’s learning and development milestones.” 

The team provides families with daily updates, so they know their child is being cared for and loved throughout the day, and families really appreciate everything the team does.  

Community Kids McLaren Vale has won many five-star reviews from parents, and they can now add a shiny KindiCare Excellence Awards trophy to their accolades!
